Monarchy

The Monarchy is a Constitutional Monarchy. This means that a set of rules are followed by each island nation for their Monarchy. The rules may differ between island nations. There are a few that are followed by all:

  • Succession: follows a strict line of succession, with the crown passing to the monarch’s eldest child. If the monarch has no children, the crown passes to the next closest relative in line.
  • They rule the military, and any polices forces in their country.
  • They are tasked with enforcing the laws of the land.
  • The monarchy owns all land and improvements there on. This includes all structures.
    • Everyone else rents from the monarchy in the form of taxes and fees.
    • They are charged with collecting the taxes and fees. Improvements may be made to the land to reduce taxes and fees over time. Note: Judges set values of the land and improvements there on. (Judges are appointed by Mayors, not the Monarchy.)
