Lore
- The synthesis of this artifact represents a miraculous convergence of four distinct magical disciplines, bound together by the highest echelons of alchemical and botanical weaving.
- Historical records indicate that an ancient peacemaker, burdened by the immense weight of preventing continental wars, sought a method to carry the physical and emotional tolls of their journey without succumbing to despair or physical decay.
- The foundation of the artifact began with the sacred flora gifted by the Dryad Queen, originally intended as a boundless repository for a Luminescent Guardian to carry essential supplies across dangerous realms.
- To this living botanical matrix, Threadwalker mystics introduced the Whisperbloom Essenceleaf and holy sandalwood, physically stitching the threads of unwritten destiny into the fabric of the extradimensional space.
- Anatolian village healers then carefully integrated their ancient digestive wards, weaving copper and brass wire through the flora to bind crushed anise and mint directly into the satchel’s lining, ensuring the wearer’s internal harmony remained absolute regardless of the environment.
- The final integration was performed by a Coptic soul, who anchored the volatile destiny-magic and the organic warding enchantments using a tarnished bronze cross and a glowing jade bead.
- This combination of divine peace, gastrointestinal fortitude, temporal foresight, and extradimensional capacity resulted in a singular, unified physical object capable of guiding its wearer through the most treacherous diplomatic and physical environments.
Description
- The physical object exists as a singular, seamlessly integrated waist-satchel.
- The exterior is constructed from living, enchanted flora that shifts in color depending on the ambient magic, interwoven with sturdy braided leather and oxidized copper wire.
- The central closure flap is dominated by a tarnished bronze Coptic cross, intricately etched with olive branch motifs.
- Suspended from the center of this cross is a smooth jade bead that perpetually emits a soft, emerald-green bioluminescence.
- The surface of the floral fabric is covered in destiny-threads that subtly shift and change patterns, forming temporary geometric symbols of arrows, spirals, and opening doors when the wearer contemplates a difficult choice.
- The satchel emits a permanent, layered aroma consisting of sandalwood, crushed mint, warm bread, and a crisp, rain-like freshness that deepens in intensity during moments of high stress.
- Despite the vast extradimensional space hidden within, the satchel remains entirely flat against the wearer’s hip, feeling cool to the touch on the outside while radiating a constant, settling warmth inward toward the wearer’s abdomen.

Multiple Passives Magic
- Extradimensional Sanctuary: The interior of the satchel provides boundless, protected storage that is entirely isolated from external environmental hazards, theft, and magical probing. The wearer may retrieve any stored item instantly without expending an action, utilizing a direct mental link to the enchanted flora. All items placed inside are automatically unattuned while stored.
- Aura of the Settled Path: The wearer is permanently immune to nausea, indigestion, foodborne toxins, and all mind-altering effects that attempt to incite fear, hostility, or panic. The internal harmony of the wearer is absolute, converting minor ill intent directed at them into a fleeting, harmless sensation of warmth.
- Fate-Aligned Goodwill: The wearer projects a continuous aura of profound friendliness and trustworthiness. This grants massive advantages to all interactions requiring persuasion, mediation, or the establishment of a good first impression. Due to this overwhelming aura of peace, the wearer suffers a severe penalty to any attempts at intimidation.
- Gut-Sense of Destiny: The wearer possesses a flawless instinctual radar regarding immediate physical consumption and future choices. They automatically know if food or drink is tainted, and simultaneously receive cognitive nudges regarding which physical path or investigative lead will yield the most harmonious outcome.
Multiple Active Magics
- Chant of the Peaceful Journey: The wearer may speak a brief Coptic prayer to project a massive wave of suppression. This instantly neutralizes all hostile emotions in a wide radius while simultaneously purging any toxins, poisons, or spoilage from food and water within that same area.
- Spark of Amicable Foresight: By physically touching the glowing jade bead, the wearer triggers a concentrated aromatic pulse of Essenceleaf. This grants a sudden, vivid glimpse of a future social interaction or puzzle, providing perfect clarity on how to navigate the obstacle peacefully and forging an immediate, unbreakable bond of trust with the involved entities.
- Ritual of the Woven Bond: The wearer may spend ten minutes preparing and sharing a meal from the satchel’s extradimensional reserves. This ritual binds the participants in a temporary destiny-link, granting them profound insights into their shared objectives and ensuring their digestive and emotional states remain perfectly balanced for the duration of their quest.
- Digestive Destiny Pull: In moments of extreme physical or narrative stagnation, the wearer can draw upon the combined magic to completely clear all internal distress and emotional despair. This acts as a hard reset for the wearer’s physical body and mind, forcefully realigning their focus toward their ultimate fate while neutralizing any lingering sickness or confusion.
Specific Slot: Worn item (Waist)
- The magical integrity of the Harmonious Fate-Weave Satchel 8193 is bound directly to its physical and botanical form, operating with a maximum threshold of 80 item hit points. This specific value is derived from its tier 4 classification, scaling precisely at a rate of 20 hit points per tier level.
- Because the artifact is highly resistant to mundane damage, immune to organic rot, and shielded from localized magical disruption, standard physical attacks and natural environmental decay will not reduce this hit point pool. To successfully damage the item, an attacker must specifically target the satchel with deliberate sunder attempts using tier 3 or tier 4 magical weapons, concentrated acid, or direct applications of magical fire.
- When the item suffers damage, the enchanted flora begins to wilt, the oxidized copper wire bends, and the intricately stitched destiny-threads start to unravel. If the artifact’s hit points are successfully reduced to exactly zero, the physical satchel does not disintegrate, but the magical conduits collapse entirely.
- In this disabled state, the extradimensional space seals shut, rendering all 800 pounds of stored physical material completely inaccessible but safely trapped within the void. The jade bead loses its emerald-green bioluminescence, the layered aroma of sandalwood and mint fades to the smell of dead leaves, and the item instantly loses all multiple passives magic, multiple active magics, and skill enhancements. It reverts to a mundane, heavy, dead plant-fiber pouch.
- Repairing the Harmonious Fate-Weave Satchel 8193 requires a highly specialized botanical and alchemical restoration process. This cannot be accomplished in the field, through standard healing magic, or during temporary lulls in travel, as avatars and their gear gain absolutely zero restorative benefits from a short rest.
- The disabled artifact must be transported to a specialized artisan or a collaborative group of crafters possessing master-level proficiencies in Herbal Medicine, Ritual Magic, and Folk Craft. The physical repair must take place within a designated safe area, such as a monastic peace shop or a heavily warded oracle bazaar, to ensure no hostile intent contaminates the delicate empathic weave during the restoration.
- The artisans must procure fresh, dew-dried Whisperbloom Essenceleaf, a vial of pure blessed water, and replacement oxidized copper wire. The repair sequence mandates a minimum of twelve hours of uninterrupted, continuous focus. During this time, the artisan must meticulously re-stitch the unraveled destiny-threads while simultaneously anointing the tarnished bronze cross with the blessed water and infusing the wilted dryad flora with a steady stream of magic-flow.
- The economic cost of this restoration requires an expenditure of rare magical reagents, specialized botanical components, and currency equivalent to exactly half the localized market value of a fully functioning tier 4 artifact, totaling 425 Platinum. Upon successful completion of the restoration cycle and a final chant of amicable unity, the item’s hit points are fully restored to 80, the extradimensional gateway reopens, and all magical properties instantly reactivate.
Obtaining the Harmonious Fate-Weave Satchel 8193 is an endeavor reserved for individuals who have navigated the complex political and magical landscapes of the world to reach the fourth tier of advancement. Because it is a tier 4 artifact, it cannot be found in common village stalls, simple supply depots, or standard apothecary shops. The methods of obtaining this specific amalgamation of enchanted flora, Coptic magic, Turkish folk warding, and Threadwalker destiny-weaving are restricted to the following avenues.
- Looting a Tier 4 Crystal: When an avatar possessing the Harmonious Fate-Weave Satchel 8193 reaches zero health points and perishes, they vaporize into a cloud of sparks and leave behind a crystal. The artifact will remain near the crystal. Securing the item in this manner requires surviving a combat encounter with a tier 4 gestalt entity, likely a high-ranking diplomat, a legendary caravan master, or a master aromancer who utilized the satchel for survival and mediation.
- Commissioning a Master Crafter Gestalt: A character may obtain the item by funding the intricate merging process. This requires locating a highly specialized, secure facility and hiring a collaborative team consisting of a Dryad flora-weaver, a Coptic monastery elder, a master aromancer, and an Anatolian folk healer. The individual must source and provide the raw materials, including the exceptionally rare Whisperbloom Essenceleaf, pure jade, oxidized copper, and living enchanted flora, while financing the extensive ritualistic crafting cycles.
- Exploration of Forgotten Sanctuaries: The artifact may be recovered from the deepest, sealed vaults of lost monasteries, ancient oracle temples, or the ruined diplomatic halls of old civilizations hidden within overgrown jungles. These environments are heavily guarded by ancient wards and populated by creatures possessing memories from past lives.
The Harmonious Fate-Weave Satchel 8193 is traded exclusively within the most fortified, elite, or highly specialized commercial sectors of the world. In accordance with the established economic structures, the cost for tier 4 items is expressed in Platinum. The pricing fluctuates heavily based on the sellers’ market and local availability.
Megacity Diplomat’s Emporiums These elegant, highly secure trading floors are located in the upper echelons of floating cities and the fortified trade districts of metropolitan skyscrapers. They cater exclusively to corporate negotiators, high-ranking political strategists, and elite peace-weavers.
- The Transaction: Security is absolute, utilizing heavily guarded, silence-warded chambers. The transaction involves a formal, extended meal to test the buyer’s amicable aura and digestive fortitude, ensuring the satchel’s Turkish warding magic harmonizes with the new owner. Buyers must sign enchanted contracts and prove their intent is to foster unity rather than sow discord.
- The Cost: 900 to 1,200 Platinum. The exorbitant price reflects the absolute pristine condition of the artifact, the prestige of the exchange, and the guarantee that the Coptic enchantments and destiny-threads have been freshly stabilized.
Monastic Peace Outposts Situated on remote islands like the Isle of Gentle Waves or hidden within high mountain passes, these sanctuaries are run by monks and clerics who specialize in relics that promote harmony and safe travel.
- The Transaction: The transaction is treated as a sacred transference rather than a simple mercantile exchange. Buyers must demonstrate a profound commitment to unity and undergo a chanting ritual alongside the monastic elders. The buyer is often required to share a confession of uncertainty to lighten the visions that the satchel will eventually provide.
- The Cost: 750 to 850 Platinum. The financial cost is often lower here, as profit is discouraged within the monastic ethos. The monks frequently demand supplementary payment in the form of extreme vows of non-violence, holy relics, or massive donations to the sanctuary’s upkeep and steam-powered facilities.
Coastal Oracle-Bazaars Found in the shifting, heavy incense-filled tent cities along major trade routes and oceanic ports, these markets are run by mysterious vendors, aromancers, and traveling Threadwalkers.
- The Transaction: The stalls are marked with spiraled thread symbols. The vendors speak quietly and require the buyer to inhale a minor future-scent to prove their destiny aligns with the satchel’s immense temporal weight. Buyers are asked to promise they will not chase every vision obsessively, and the transaction is sealed with a shared cup of warm, herbal tea to bind the amicable magic.
- The Cost: 800 to 1,000 Platinum. The price is highly dependent on the seller’s reading of the buyer’s fate and the current demand from adventuring companies struggling with mission choices. Bartering is accepted if the buyer offers items of equivalent tier 4 fate-magic.
Shadow-Market Antiquity Dealers These shifting, hidden markets operate in lawless island territories, rogue cities, and the deepest, unmapped regions of the dark cave systems. They are run by high-tier merchants who deal in relics recovered from fallen empires or deceased avatars.
- The Transaction: Exchanges occur swiftly and discreetly. The merchants rely entirely on the satchel itself to maintain the peace during the tense exchange, utilizing its Aura of the Settled Path to prevent violence. Buyers must rely on their Mind’s Eye to verify the exact stats, the capacity of the extradimensional space, and identify any false or misleading properties the item might possess.
- The Cost: 600 to 800 Platinum. This is the lowest available market price, but it carries extreme risk. Artifacts purchased here are often recovered from avatars who died in states of extreme emotional despair or physical agony. The buyer risks immediate psychological backlash or confusing, tangled future-visions upon attuning to the item until a proper cleansing ritual can be performed.
Tactical Roleplay and Environmental Application of the Harmonious Fate-Weave Satchel 8193
Megacities and High-Spires (Urban Environments)
- Defense: Within the cutthroat political arenas and towering trade districts of the floating cities, the wearer utilizes the Aura of the Settled Path to navigate poisoned banquets and magically induced panic. If a rival faction attempts a hostile takeover or releases a fear-toxin in a closed council chamber, the wearer remains entirely immune to the panic. The Gut-Sense of Destiny acts as a flawless internal radar, immediately identifying tainted wine or spoiled hospitality before consumption. The wearer roleplays consuming questionable food calmly to project dominance and endurance, relying on the Turkish warding magic to process the toxins without suffering any physical or emotional distress.
- Offense: The wearer deploys weaponized amicability to dismantle enemy factions without drawing a blade. By activating the Chant of the Peaceful Journey during a violent riot or a heated diplomatic breakdown, the wearer projects a massive wave of emotional suppression. The wearer roleplays reciting the Coptic prayer, instantly neutralizing the hostile drive of every combatant in the radius. The wearer follows this by touching the jade bead to trigger the Spark of Amicable Foresight, inhaling the aromatic pulse to gain a sudden vision of the rival leader’s true, hidden motives. Armed with this fate-aligned knowledge, the wearer delivers a perfectly tailored, unavoidable diplomatic compromise that binds the rival into a trusting alliance, completely neutralizing their political threat through sheer, unavoidable peace.
Coastal Trade Routes and Underwater Metropolises
- Defense: When traveling via steam-powered ships or navigating the high-pressure zones of deep-sea coral cities, the Extradimensional Sanctuary serves as the ultimate survival asset. If a hull breaches or a leviathan attacks, the wearer is shielded from the crushing despair of drowning by the Fate-Aligned Goodwill. The wearer roleplays reaching into the flat, seamless waist-satchel to instantly retrieve heavy diving apparatuses, hull-sealing resins, or emergency rations without expending physical effort or time. The internal flora protects all stored emergency gear from seawater corruption or magical degradation.
- Offense: When dealing with isolationist merfolk factions or hostile pirates blocking a coastal route, the wearer utilizes the Ritual of the Woven Bond. The wearer roleplays pulling fresh, perfectly preserved ingredients from the void-space and spending ten minutes preparing a diplomatic meal on the deck of a ship or within a submerged air-pocket. By sharing this meal, the wearer forces a temporary destiny-link upon the hostile leaders. This binds the pirates or merfolk into a shared vision of mutual prosperity, breaking their isolationist or aggressive stances through a sudden, overwhelming influx of shared empathy and cognitive alignment.
Uncharted Jungles and Ruined Civilizations
- Defense: Ancient ruins and overgrown wilderness zones are heavily saturated with cursed flora, hallucinogenic spore clouds, and lingering spiritual plagues. The wearer relies on the Gut-Sense of Destiny to safely forage, perfectly distinguishing between nourishing roots and lethal toxins. If the party is exposed to a creeping jungle rot or ancient magical despair, the wearer triggers the Digestive Destiny Pull. The wearer roleplays an intense moment of grounding, instantly clearing all internal distress and forcibly realigning their own physical and mental state toward their ultimate fate, shaking off the ruins’ corruption entirely.
- Offense: When stalked by a corrupted jungle apex predator or a swarm of possessed beasts, the wearer does not engage in traditional combat. The wearer utilizes the Spark of Amicable Foresight to release the scent of the Whisperbloom Essenceleaf, gaining a brief, cryptic flash of the creature’s past trauma or specific territorial trigger. Applying this knowledge, the wearer activates the Chant of the Peaceful Journey, stripping the beasts of their predatory hunger and aggressive instincts. The creatures, robbed of their biological drive to kill, become docile, allowing the wearer to safely harvest necessary components or simply walk past them, turning a lethal encounter into a peaceful bypass.
Dark Cave Systems and Subterranean Labyrinths (Unsafe Areas)
- Defense: In the pitch-black, claustrophobic tunnels populated by entities that feed on fear and terror, the wearer projects the Fate-Aligned Goodwill as an impenetrable shield. Because the subterranean horrors require terror to hunt or feed, the wearer’s absolute internal harmony actively starves them. The wearer roleplays navigating the labyrinth entirely by the Gut-Sense of Destiny, allowing the physical nudges in their abdomen and the shifting destiny-threads on the satchel’s exterior to guide them away from lethal dead ends and hidden pitfalls, relying on fate rather than physical sight.
- Offense: When ambushed by subterranean cultists or shadow-dwelling entities, the wearer’s severe penalty to intimidation prevents them from scaring the enemies away. Instead, the wearer uses the Digestive Destiny Pull on themselves to clear any lingering subterranean madness, then initiates the Chant of the Peaceful Journey. The Coptic prayer echoes through the dark caverns, immediately purging the cultists’ frenzy and neutralizing any hallucinogenic gases they may be using. The cultists, suddenly stripped of their fanaticism and aggression, drop their weapons in confusion. The wearer then walks among them with the Aura of the Settled Path, calmly disarming the threats and converting the ambushers into compliant, docile guides through the application of absolute, inescapable serenity.

Perception of Activation:
User’s Perspective
- Sight: The woven enchanted flora of the satchel ripples with a sudden, verdant color shift. The oxidized copper wires gleam, and the stitched destiny-threads rapidly rearrange themselves, flashing brightly to form geometric symbols—arrows, spirals, or opening doors—that overlay the wearer’s vision with the correct path forward. The central jade bead flares with a brilliant, emerald-green bioluminescence.
- Sound: A harmonious, multi-tonal hum resonates directly into the wearer’s jaw and collarbone. It sounds like a perfect blending of a distant Coptic choir and the rustling of ancient forest leaves, quickly settling into a quiet, rhythmic thrum that matches a calm, resting heartbeat.
- Touch: The exterior of the satchel remains perfectly cool and flat against the hip. Simultaneously, a profound, settling warmth radiates inward from the waist directly into the abdomen, instantly erasing cramps, tension, and the physical weight of anxiety. Reaching into the satchel produces a sensation of absolute weightlessness as the hand crosses into the extradimensional void.
- Smell: A sudden, intense burst of the artifact’s signature aroma fills the sinuses: warm bread, crushed mint, sacred sandalwood, and the sharp, clean scent of impending rain. The scent clears mental fog and sharpens focus on the present moment.
- Taste: A phantom taste coats the back of the throat—cool spring water mixed with a hint of sweet anise and herbal tea. This brings an immediate, soothing sensation to the digestive tract.
- Extra-Sensory Perceptions:
- Destiny’s Compass: A clear, undeniable cognitive pull directs the wearer toward the most harmonious decision or physical path, untangling confusion and analysis paralysis.
- Empathic Echo: A sudden influx of understanding washes over the mind, revealing the emotional states and hidden motives of those nearby without the distortion of personal bias or fear.
- Void Awareness: The wearer gains a perfect, simultaneous mental map of every single item currently resting within the 800-pound extradimensional space, allowing for thought-speed retrieval.
Observer’s Perspective
- Sight: Onlookers see the satchel’s exterior threads writhe and lock into glowing, cryptic patterns. The jade bead emits a soft, pulsing green mist or halo that momentarily bathes the wearer in an aura of extreme approachability, making them appear serene and untroubled.
- Sound: A faint, soothing hum drifts through the air, reminiscent of wind passing through a peaceful grove or a distant, calming chant. This sound naturally causes those nearby to lower their voices and cease shouting.
- Touch: A subtle shift in the air pressure occurs, feeling like a cool, refreshing breeze that washes away the oppressive heat of anger, tension, or the stifling air of a crowded room.
- Smell: A comforting wave of baked bread, lavender, and sandalwood drifts into the immediate vicinity, instantly evoking subconscious feelings of safety, home, and hospitality.
- Taste: While there is no direct taste, observers frequently notice they are swallowing more easily, or that dry mouths caused by adrenaline are suddenly quenched.
- Extra-Sensory Perceptions:
- Aura of De-escalation: A sudden, overwhelming draining of aggressive impulses and combat adrenaline. Weapons feel heavier in the hands of observers, and the primal desire to strike fades into a profound, lethargic peace.
- Instinctual Trust: A subconscious, almost magical reassurance settles over onlookers, identifying the wearer not as a threat, but as a mediator, a friend, and a safe harbor.
Positives
- Instantly neutralizes physical toxins, nausea, and emotional despair for the wearer and those affected by the active magics.
- Provides flawless, instantaneous mental mapping and physical access to 800 pounds of logistical and survival gear without any encumbrance or delay.
- Grants perfect, fate-aligned foresight for navigating complex social disputes, puzzles, or hazardous terrain.
- Enforces extreme pacification in hostile environments, allowing the wearer to turn aggressive enemies into compliant allies without drawing a weapon.
Negatives
- The overwhelming aura of peace makes it fundamentally impossible for the wearer to utilize intimidation, fear, or aggressive coercion, severely limiting tactical options in specific scenarios.
- The sudden influx of destiny-visions and deep empathic connections can cause severe cognitive overload, emotional fatigue, or “future-shock” if the magics are triggered too frequently.
- Because the artifact suppresses all hostile drive, the wearer might become dangerously passive or overly trusting in situations where ruthless violence or immediate flight is the only actual survival option.
- Items retrieved from the extradimensional space are automatically unattuned, meaning the wearer must spend time safely re-establishing magical connections to any stored tier-based gear before it can be effectively used.
Crafting Recipe: Synthesis of the Harmonious Fate-Weave Satchel 8193
Items Merged
- Samsaran Unity Blossom Satchel
- Coptic Amulet 614 of Harmony
- Turkish 317 of the Settling Gut
- Memory Fragment Sachet Pouch 444001
Additional Materials Needed
- Spool of oxidized copper and brass wire to physically bind the folk-magic wards into the botanical matrix.
- One vial of pure blessed water to conduct the Coptic consecration and purify the merging process.
- Three additional dew-dried Whisperbloom Essenceleaves to stabilize the expanded temporal magic across the larger surface area.
- One jar of serenity-tree resin to permanently seal the extradimensional seams and protect the inner void from unraveling.
Tools Required
- Steam-Press Loom: A specialized, magic-driven weaving apparatus necessary to intertwine enchanted flora and destiny-cloth without tearing the delicate extradimensional fabric.
- Destiny-Needle: A silver-pointed stitching tool required to safely handle and manipulate threads that pulse with future timelines.
- Ritual Mortar and Pestle: Dedicated specifically to mental-aura work and required to blend the disparate Turkish and Threadwalker botanicals into a unified paste.
- Consecration Bowl: A shallow bronze basin used to hold the blessed water and align the magical frequencies of the jade bead.
Skill Requirements
- Herbal Medicine: Master
- Folk Craft: Master
- Ritual Magic: Master
- Aromantic Cognition: Master
Crafting Steps
- The Botanical Expansion: Begin by placing the Samsaran Unity Blossom Satchel onto the Steam-Press Loom. Carefully unravel the soft cloth square of the Memory Fragment Sachet Pouch 444001. Using the loom’s magically generated steam to keep the plant fibers supple, weave the destiny-cloth directly into the enchanted flora. This process physically expands the extradimensional void to hold 800 pounds while shaping the resulting object into a single, seamless waist-satchel.
- The Herbal Integration: In the Ritual Mortar and Pestle, combine the crushed anise and mint from the Turkish 317 with the extra Whisperbloom Essenceleaves. Grind them into a fine, unified powder while maintaining a state of absolute emotional calm. Mix this powder with the serenity-tree resin to create a fragrant paste. Apply this paste evenly to the interior lining of the satchel, locking the gastrointestinal wards and future-scent magic to the threshold of the void.
- Weaving the Destiny Threads: Utilizing the Destiny-Needle and the oxidized copper and brass wire, the crafter must stitch the shifting fate-lines across the exterior of the living flora. Every knot must be tied with intentional thoughts of peace and clarity. The wire acts as a conductive cage, ensuring the temporal flashes of the Whisperbloom do not overwhelm the wearer’s physical senses.
- The Coptic Anchoring: Dismantle the Coptic Amulet 614 of Harmony by removing the tarnished bronze cross and glowing jade bead from its original leather cord. Using the remaining copper wire, firmly affix the bronze cross to the central closure flap of the waist-satchel. Place the jade bead into the Consecration Bowl filled with blessed water and chant a prayer of unity to synchronize its calming aura with the living flora. Once attuned, attach the jade bead directly to the center of the cross.
- The Convergence Cycle: Place the fully assembled physical object over a gentle, steady steam vent within a designated safe area. The crafter must maintain a continuous, twelve-hour meditation, feeding a steady stream of magic-flow into the satchel while reciting alternating Coptic prayers and Threadwalker mantras. If the air fills with the scent of warm bread, mint, and rain, and the exterior threads begin to autonomously form geometric symbols, the tier 4 synthesis is complete and the single-slot artifact is stable.
Hip-Sack of Harmonious Fate-Weave
In the time of the before-dust, when the rivers did not know which way to fall and the mud-folk were always hitting each other with the sharp-sticks, there was a walker-of-the-roads known in the old-mouth-sounds as [Untranslatable: He-Who-Carries-Many-Heavy-Things-Without-the-Loud-Complaining]. This carrier-man had a great water-in-the-eyes [sorrow] because the lands were full of the angry-stomachs and the lost-walking. The people did not know the tomorrow-steps, and they ate the bad-meat of the shadow-beasts, which made their bellies burn and their hands make fists.
The carrier-man did speak to the sky: “I will make the single-hip-box of the great-quiet. It will hold the mountain-weight, it will know the unwritten-path, and it will make the angry-fire go to sleep.”
First, the carrier-man did walk into the deep-green-woods where the sun does not touch the dirt. He did seek the Queen of the Bark-Skin-Women [Dryad Queen]. He did bow his head and ask for the flower-stomach. The Queen did weave the vines that do not die and the leaves that drink the magic-flow. She made a pouch. On the looking-side, it was small, like a bird-nest. But on the reaching-side, it was a space-that-is-not-there [extradimensional void]. It could hold eight-hundred heavy-stones of the supplies, but it only occupied exactly one place on the hip of the wearer. It was not many bags. It was one bag.
Second, the carrier-man did say, “A large-reaching-side is no good if the food inside gives the mud-folk the sickness of the sour-water.” He walked to the dry-hills where the old-mothers crush the mint-leaves and the anise-seeds. He traded three songs of the winter-rain for the magic of the settled-gut [Turkish 317]. The old-mothers gave him the copper-strings and the smell-paste. They told him, “This paste makes the belly-demons sleep. You can eat the poison-berries or drink the mud-water, and your inside-tube will remain as calm as a frozen lake.” The carrier-man did rub this paste into the inside-skin of the flower-stomach.
Third, the carrier-man did find the road-crossings where the dust-sniffers [Threadwalkers] sit in the wind. These are the ones who can smell the tomorrow before the sun wakes up. He asked for the dust of the not-yet-happened [Memory Fragment Sachet]. They gave him the crushed Whisperbloom and the holy-tree-dust. They warned him with the shaking-hands: “Do not breathe the tomorrow-dust too fast, or your brain will run away from your skull.” He took the dust and a silver-thorn, and he sewed the dust directly into the outside of the flower-stomach. The threads did become alive. They wiggled on the cloth. They made pictures of arrows and opening-doors to show the feet where to step next.
Fourth, the carrier-man did travel to the salt-water-edge to find the glowing-woman who came from the other-world-sand-place [Coptic healer]. She wore the bronze-metal of the two-lines-intersecting. In the middle was a green-stone that made the angry-hitting-thoughts turn into the quiet-sitting-thoughts. The carrier-man said, “I need the cross to lock the flap of the hip-box, so the peace cannot escape.” The glowing-woman gave it to him, but she said, “Only use it for the un-hitting. If you try to make the scary-face while wearing the green-stone, the magic will laugh at you and you will look like a soft-baby.”
The carrier-man did take the four pieces to the oven-of-the-hot-wet-wind. He sat for twelve turnings of the sky-fire. He did not eat. He did not sleep. He used the copper, the bronze, the tomorrow-dust, and the flower-stomach. He did sew them until they were completely melted into exactly one single physical object. The four things were dead. The one thing was alive. He put it on his waist. It was the Harmonious Fate-Weave Satchel.
The threads on the outside did wiggle and show him the path. The green stone did glow like a trapped firefly. The smell of the warm-bread and the clean-rain did push into his nose. His belly felt the great-warmth of the perfect-digestion.
The scroll-words say that the trial of the carrier-man came when the Great-Angry-Eating-Tribe did march over the jagged-rocks. The tribe was very mad because they had eaten the rotting-swamp-fish. Their bellies were full of the fire-pain, which made their brains want to do the extreme-stabbing.
The carrier-man did not run away. He touched the green-stone on his hip. He smelled the tomorrow-dust. The wiggly lines on the bag showed him the exact footsteps to walk to the leader of the tribe without getting hit by the flying-rocks.
He walked to the leader. He opened the flap of the single-hip-box. He reached his hand into the space-that-is-not-there. He pulled out eight-hundred heavy-stones worth of the good-sweet-bread, the clean-water, and the healing-roots. Because he was wearing the satchel, the Coptic-cross did hum the loud-song of the quiet-sitting. The Turkish-gut-magic did wash over the tribe like a invisible-river.
The fire-pain left the bellies of the tribe. The angry-thoughts left their heads. They dropped the sharp-sticks. They sat in the dirt and ate the good-sweet-bread. They made the loud-sleeping-noises [snoring] because their bodies were finally at the peace.
The carrier-man did smile, but the scroll-words say he could never shout or fight ever again. The magic of the hip-box had eaten his angry-face forever. He became the ultimate-soft-friend. He walked into the mist, carrying the weight of the whole world in the space-that-is-not-there, always knowing exactly where to step, and never once getting the sour-water in his stomach.
Moral of the Story: The heaviest rocks of the world weigh nothing when placed inside the belly of tomorrow, but he who wears the woven-peace upon his hip must forever forget how to make the hand into a fist.
