They gave to the rider a stallion made of fire, whose breath was hotter than the stars and whose hooves could outrun the winds.

The rider and the stallion were bound by a gift, a bit and bridle forged in the heart of the sun. The golden bit held the fire of the stallion’s spirit, and the bridle was woven from the light of a thousand dawns. With these, the rider could command the stallion, to race across the heavens and guard the world below from the creeping shadows.

The rider was fierce and true, a guardian of light, who fought against the darkness that sought to consume the world. In battle after battle, the stallion’s flames burned away the night, and the rider’s strength was as endless as the sun. Together, they were the day’s light, the warmth of life that kept the cold at bay.

But as the days became years and the years became ages, the rider grew weary. The flames of the stallion no longer warmed the rider’s heart as they once did. The shadows, though beaten back, never truly vanished, and the rider’s spirit began to fade like the setting sun. The bright ones saw this and knew that even the greatest of warriors must rest.
