The Monarchy is a Constitutional Monarchy. This means that a set of rules are followed by each island nation for their Monarchy. The rules may differ between island nations. There are a few that are followed by all:
- Succession: follows a strict line of succession, with the crown passing to the monarch’s eldest female child. If the monarch has no children, the crown passes to the next closest female relative in line.
- They rule the military, and any polices forces in their country.
- They are tasked with enforcing the laws of the land.
- The monarchy owns all land and improvements there on. This includes all structures.
- Everyone else rents from the monarchy in the form of taxes and fees.
- They are charged with collecting the taxes and fees. Improvements may be made to the land to reduce taxes and fees over time. Note: Judges set values of the land and improvements there on. (Judges are appointed by Mayors, not the Monarchy.)
