Extradimensional Storage types

Benefits or abilities of items are not usable when in extradimensional storage.

Personal:

Only accessible by an avatar of the character. If the storage is turned inside out the contents will be emptied. No time passes in personal storage. If a lit candle is put in personal extradimensional storage, then when it is taken out the candle will still be lit but will not have burned any. This means if a living creature fits in personal storage, then they go into suspended animation until taken out. Many adventures put bombs that are about to explode in their extradimensional storage to discourage theft.

  • Extradimensional Pouch: (weighs 1 pound regardless of what is in it) can hold up to 30 pounds of stuff. Opening is just big enough to get your hand through. Up to 4 pouches can be worn on a belt. (Common – Tier 1)
  • Extradimensional Fanny pouch: (weighs 2 pounds regardless of what is in it) takes up the space of two normal pouches on a belt. Can hold up to 100 pounds of stuff. Has an opening just large enough to get two hands in. (Uncommon – Tier 1)
  • Extradimensional bag: (weighs 3 pounds regardless of what is in it) Can be tied to a loop on one’s clothing, armor, or backpack. Has a one-foot diameter opening. May hold up to 500 pounds of stuff.  (Rare – Tier 2)
  • Extradimensional backpack: (weighs 9 pounds regardless of what is in it) worn on one’s back and counts as a single item. Is a sewn together pack of Extradimensional items. Has 4 Extradimensional pouches, one Extradimensional Fanny pouch, and an Extradimensional bag all as one unit. (Very rare – Tier 2)

Institutionalized storage:

Extradimensional Storage Crypt: (weighs 200 pounds regardless of what is in it) Is not a worn item and has 6 handles so it can be carried by 4 to 6 people. Has an entrance about the size of a person. Stores up to 200 tons of stuff. Traditionally, it is used to store the dead as anything within it does not rot and can be buried or hidden. It may also be used to store grain, food, or other objects and items. Is subject to gravity in that when right side up things can be thrown into it, when upside down things will fall out of it. Like personal storage no time passes in a Storage Crypt, so dead people, grain, or anything else may be kept indefinitely.

Party:

Extradimensional storage that is shared among the party. Has an opening large enough to walk in. This is tied to the soul or memories of the character. Requires tear-3 or higher to access. Time passes in extradimensional party storage the same as it does for the avatar. Weight nor the number of items is counted in party storage, only the space that is required to make something fit.

Faction:

To utilize faction storage, an avatar must be present within the faction’s territory and hold membership in that faction. Membership costs to use faction storage is a minimum of 1 gold per week. This means you can be a faction member but not have access to faction storage. It is possible for a character to belong to multiple factions. The entrance of the faction storage is spacious enough to accommodate a wagon. Time within extradimensional faction storage elapses concurrently with the outside world. In faction storage, neither the weight of items nor their quantity is considered; only the space required to fit items matters. Faction storage can only be accessed from one location at a time. It is not intended for teleporting avatars and should be used accordingly. An attendant is stationed within faction storage and handles the opening of storage at the designated location on behalf of the member. The faction badge allows telepathic communications to the attendant if they are not already busy. If the attendant is attacked, dies, or leaves the faction storage, it closes and can only be reopened by faction top management.
