Sir Alaric, with fingers light and fleet, with Lady Elara, in whispers discreet, wandered the lanes, so narrow and neat. Their aim was clear, a feat to complete, the Moonlit Gem, they vowed to greet.

“Hark!” quoth Elara, her gaze afar, to a dim-lit tavern, door slightly ajar. But as they entered, a crowd thick as tar, with jesters jesting and men at the bar, the gem’s glow glimpsed, like a distant star.

Yet, danger lurked, in shadows and smoke, for thieves were plenty, ‘neath cloak and cloak. With every glance, and words they spoke, the duo sensed, a trap might invoke.

Drawing near, their target in grasp, a challenge arose, a voice did rasp. “Who seeks the gem, in thief’s hand clasp?” A figure emerged, making both of them gasp, the infamous rogue, known as Rook the Rasp.

Thus, in Haverbrook, where lanterns cast part, Sir Alaric and Lady Elara did start, a quest of danger, of sleight and art. And though the night, was as dark as tart, hope glimmered, in each brave heart.
