Its head is more angular and reptilian in shape, with a sharp, curved beak reminiscent of a great blue heron’s. Its eyes are large and golden, and it has a series of ridges along its back that resemble those of a sea turtle. Its most striking feature, however, are the two pairs of scorpion-like pincers that protrude from its sides, which it uses for defense and manipulation.
Behavior: The Aquamurid is a solitary and territorial creature, preferring to hunt and scavenge alone rather than in groups. It’s an expert swimmer and diver, able to hold its breath for long periods of time and swim with impressive speed and agility. It’s also quite adept at climbing and can use its pincers to grip onto rocks and branches, much like a scorpion.
