From: Lineage 831 of Geode Vein
This is not a simple bag, but a specialized collection and transport device designed to utilize one of Marn’s unique Anuran Dermal Pouch Slots. The apparatus is grafted directly and permanently onto the thick skin of his torso, appearing as an integrated piece of his physiology. The pouch itself is crafted from tough, flexible leather, but its interior is lined with a thick, shock-absorbent gel derived from subterranean flora. Its most critical feature is the closure flap, which is fitted with a ring of small slate tiles etched with nullifying runes. When the pouch is sealed, these runes generate a weak, localized stasis field within its confines. This field serves two vital purposes: it prevents delicate or volatile crystalline samples from shattering during strenuous travel, and it dampens their magical resonance, ensuring the potent artifacts he collects do not interfere with his other magical gear or his own sensitive Geode-Vein physiology.
Lore
The concept of grafting utility pouches directly to the tough hide of an Anuran is ancient, but the Geode Stasis Pouch is a relatively modern and specialized innovation, developed exclusively by the Geode-Vein lineage. As their prospecting missions took them to more magically-active and dangerous locations, they found that standard leather or canvas bags were insufficient. Volatile crystals could shatter from a simple fall, and the potent magical resonance of newly-discovered artifacts could interfere with their own sensitive ley line attunement, causing sickness and disorientation.
The creation and bonding of a stasis pouch is a sacred, painful rite of passage for a young Geode-Vein prospector, usually performed when they are formally issued their first Assay Kit. The process involves a Stoneweaver priest who surgically grafts the pouch’s foundation—made from the naturally magic-dampening hide of a Basalt-Beast—directly onto the Anuran’s torso. The interior is then lined with a gel cultured from a rare, symbiotic lichen that grows only in crystal caves. Finally, the priest inscribes the slate runes on the flap, whispering a prayer to Gravok to bless the pouch with the “stillness of the deep earth.” The pouch becomes a permanent part of the Anuran’s body, a living tool and a mark of their solemn duty to safely collect and study the secrets of the stone.
Item Values
- Tier 1 Stats:
- Capacity: The pouch is an extra-dimensional space. It can hold up to 10 pounds of material, and no more than 5 distinct items. The opening can stretch to accommodate an object up to the size of a human head.
- Weight: The pouch itself is weightless and does not count toward the user’s carrying capacity, as it is part of their body. The weight of its contents, however, does count.
- Skills Gained:
- Sleight of Hand: The pouch’s location and integrated nature make it easy to secretively store or retrieve small objects. The user has Advantage on any Sleight of Hand check made to conceal an item by placing it in the pouch.
- Passive Magics:
- Magical Dampening: The primary function of the stasis field. Any magical item placed inside the pouch becomes completely inert and undetectable. Its magical aura vanishes, its properties cease to function, and any curses are suppressed until it is removed. A creature inside the pouch (if it could fit) cannot take actions or cast spells.
- Perfect Preservation: The combination of the shock-absorbent gel and the stasis field makes the contents immune to physical damage from outside forces. Fragile objects such as crystals, ancient scrolls, or alchemical potions will not break, tear, or spoil, even if the wearer falls from a great height or is struck by a powerful blow.
- Biological Integration: The pouch is a part of the wearer’s body. It cannot be removed or stolen without physically and grievously harming the wearer. It does not occupy a normal “belt” or “container” slot.
- Activatable Magics:
- Stasis Seal (At will): As an Action, the user can close the runic flap and seal the pouch, activating its Magical Dampening and Perfect Preservation passives. As an Action, they can open it, deactivating the field.
- Resonant Purge (1 use per Long Rest): The user can place a single, non-magical object inside the pouch and seal it for one hour. The stasis field will gently neutralize and erase any minor magical auras, scrying sensors, or tracking spells (of 1st level or lower) that have been placed upon the object.
- Specific Slot:
- Anuran Dermal Pouch Slot. This is a unique slot available only to the Anuran race.

A Geode Stasis Pouch is a permanent, biological modification and cannot be bought or sold in any conventional shop. It is a part of an Anuran’s body, and its acquisition is a matter of ritual, grisly salvage, or dangerous surgery, not commerce.
The Rite of Grafting (Abbeville)
- The “Shop”: This is not a shop but a sacred, sterile workshop within a Geode-Vein clan’s forge, overseen by a Stoneweaver priest and a master artisan who specializes in bio-magical integration.
- How It Is Acquired: This is the only legitimate method. It is not a purchase but a rite of passage granted to a young Anuran prospector who has proven their skill, loyalty, and dedication. The process is a week-long, painful ritual involving surgery, alchemy, and magic to permanently graft the pouch’s foundation to the Anuran’s torso. The pouch is then grown and attuned to the individual’s unique biological and magical signature.
- Cost: There is no monetary cost. The price is lifelong service to the clan, the proven merit required to be chosen, and the physical ordeal of the grafting process itself.
Grisly Salvage (Lost Ruins & Wilderness)
- The “Shop”: The only place to “find” a pouch is on the corpse of a fallen Anuran prospector in a remote dungeon, a collapsed mine, or a forgotten ruin.
- How It Is Acquired: The pouch is a piece of the former owner’s body. To acquire it, a character must perform the grim and difficult task of surgically removing the enchanted flesh from the deceased. The resulting item would not be a clean bag, but a grotesque trophy of cured hide and slate runes. It may not even function perfectly without its original host’s attunement. Possessing such an item would be considered a horrific taboo by any Anuran.
- Cost: There is no cost in coin, but the price is a significant moral and ethical burden, and potentially the eternal enmity of the Anuran people if the desecration is discovered.
The Flesh-Crafter’s Den (Black Market)
- The “Shop”: In the criminal underworld of a major port city, one might find a disgraced Anuran shaman or a mad alchemist who performs illicit surgeries. Their den would be a hidden, unsanitary space smelling of antiseptic herbs and cauterized flesh.
- How It Is Acquired: This is the only place to get a pouch through non-traditional means. An Anuran who failed to earn one might pay for an illegal graft. A non-Anuran might attempt a dangerous, experimental, and agonizing procedure to have a salvaged pouch attached to their own body, with a high chance of magical rejection, infection, or permanent scarring.
- Cost: The price is astronomical, reflecting the immense risk and illegality of the procedure. The surgeon would likely demand 150 Rhodium (1,500 Platinum), plus the completion of a dangerous favor. The buyer also pays with the risk of disfigurement or death.
The Geode Stasis Pouch is a tool of concealment and neutralization. Its roleplay in offense and defense is never direct, but revolves around the clever manipulation, transport, and denial of other key items or magical energies.
Defensive & Clandestine Roleplay
Defensively, the pouch is used to protect valuable or dangerous items from harm, and to shield the party from the harmful effects of the very things they carry.
Dungeon & Hostile Territory
In dangerous locales, the pouch is the ultimate secure transport, defending mission objectives from the chaos of adventuring.
- Roleplay Example: The party acquires a powerful but cursed artifact that whispers maddening suggestions to whoever holds it.
Marn would take the object with a pair of tongs. “Its voice is a poison,” he’d say grimly. He would place it in his Geode Stasis Pouch and seal the runic flap. “The maddening whispers would instantly cease. The artifact’s corrupting aura vanishes, completely suppressed by the Magical Dampening field. Marn is now defending the party from the artifact’s sanity-draining effects, allowing them to transport it safely.”
- Roleplay Example: The party is fleeing a collapsing ruin and must protect a set of fragile, ancient clay tablets.
“Give them to me!” Marn would shout over the crashing debris. He would carefully place the tablets inside the pouch. “He would then leap across a chasm, falling hard on the other side. While he might be bruised, he would pat the pouch on his torso with confidence, knowing the Perfect Preservation field and shock-absorbent gel have kept the priceless artifacts completely unharmed.”
Urban & Social Environments
In the city, the pouch is a tool of perfect concealment.
- Roleplay Example: The party must pass a city guard checkpoint where they are being frisked for illegal magical trinkets or contraband.
Marn would have the contraband item already stowed in his pouch. “As the guard runs a hand over his torso, the guard’s fingers would feel nothing but the Anuran’s thick, pebbled hide. The Biological Integration of the pouch makes it completely indistinguishable from the rest of his body to a physical search. He has defended himself and the party from arrest and confiscation.”
Offensive & Strategic Roleplay
Offensively, the pouch is used to deny assets to the enemy, bypass magical security, and turn an enemy’s power against them.
Dungeon & Hostile Territory
The pouch can be used to capture and neutralize a magical threat without destroying it.
- Roleplay Example: The party defeats a lich, but its phylactery, a malevolent sentient gem, is still active and trying to escape or influence them.
Before the gem can teleport away or possess someone, Marn would scoop it up and shove it into the Geode Stasis Pouch. “The gem’s furious, psychic screaming would be instantly cut off. Its powerful magical aura vanishes without a trace. He has offensively neutralized a powerful magical consciousness, effectively imprisoning it and turning a major threat into a contained, inert object.”
Urban & Social Environments
The pouch is the ultimate tool for a heist or smuggling operation.
- Roleplay Example: The party needs to steal a magical diamond from a heavily guarded museum. The diamond is on a pedestal protected by an arcane alarm that triggers if the gem’s aura is removed from the room.
Marn would use a mundane replica of the diamond. In a moment of distraction, he would perform a swap. “He palms the real diamond and places it in his pouch. The diamond’s powerful aura is instantly nullified. He places the fake on the pedestal. Because the real diamond’s magic is no longer detectable, the alarm doesn’t register it as having left the room, giving the party a clean getaway. He has offensively bypassed a powerful magical security system.”
Magical & Arcane Hotspots
Against a magical foe, the pouch can be used to temporarily “turn off” their source of power.
- Roleplay Example: The party is fighting a powerful mage who is drawing energy from a large crystal floating in the center of the room.
The party’s fighter manages to shatter the crystal, and a fist-sized “heart” falls to the floor, still pulsing with immense power. The mage begins a new chant to draw on this core. “Before the mage can finish, Marn would sprint across the room, grab the crystal heart, and seal it in his pouch. The crystal’s light and power would be instantly extinguished. The mage’s spell would sputter and fail, their power source now inert and undetectable. Marn has offensively severed the enemy’s connection to their power source, leaving them vulnerable.”

Perception of Activation:
The activation of the Geode Stasis Pouch is an act of profound and sudden nullification. Its perception is defined not by a dramatic burst of energy, but by the instantaneous and absolute cessation of it.
User’s Perspective (Marn)
- Physical Sensation: Marn feels the familiar texture of the tough, flexible pouch flap under his fingers. As he presses it shut, there is a soft, almost magnetic click as the slate runes lock into alignment. Immediately, he feels a localized numbness on his skin directly beneath the pouch, a cool and disconnected sensation as if that small part of his body has been put to sleep.
- Auditory: He hears the soft rustle of the leather flap and the quiet click of the seal. Any sound that was emanating from the object within—be it a magical hum, a cursed whisper, or a mechanical ticking—instantly ceases.
- Extra-Sensory Perception:
- Vibrational Sense: The effect is deeply profound. He perceives a perfect void in his vibrational sense. It is not quiet, but a true null spot, a piece of the world that has been surgically removed from his perception. It’s a feeling of absolute, unnatural stillness.
- Ley Line Attunement: This is the most jarring perception for him. The moment the pouch seals, the magical aura of the item within is completely and instantly extinguished. To his magical senses, it is the equivalent of a blindingly bright and noisy lantern being abruptly switched off in a dark, silent room. The sudden silence is absolute and unmistakable.
Observer’s Perspective
- Visual: The activation is almost entirely unnoticeable to the naked eye. An observer sees the user simply press a flap of what appears to be part of their skin. For a split second, a faint, oily shimmer, like heat haze on a hot stone, might ripple across the slate runes as they lock. If the item placed inside was glowing, its light is snuffed out instantly and completely.
- Auditory: Only the soft click of the seal is audible.
- Extra-Sensory Perception:
- Magical Sense: To a magically attuned observer, the effect is dramatic and shocking. A magical aura, no matter how powerful or faint, simply vanishes from existence. It does not fade, shrink, or become muffled; it is there one moment and completely gone the next. It is the magical equivalent of watching a person disappear from a scrying orb in the blink of an eye.
- Empathic Sense: If the item possessed an emotional or sentient presence (like a weapon of sorrow or a malevolent soul-bound artifact), an empath would feel that presence be abruptly and totally silenced. It is a profoundly unnerving sensation, like feeling a mind being instantly gagged and thrown into a void.
Positives
- Ultimate Concealment: The activation is mundanely imperceptible, making it the perfect tool for hiding or smuggling magical items past physical inspection.
- Absolute Confirmation: For the user and any magical observers, the effect is unambiguous. There is no doubt that an item’s magical properties have been completely and totally neutralized.
- Instant Safety: The sudden silencing of a cursed or dangerous item’s influence provides a palpable and immediate sense of relief and safety to anyone who was being affected by it.
Negatives
- Lack of Intimidation: The activation has no intimidating presence. It is a purely clandestine or defensive action.
- Alerts Magical Surveillance: While mundanely subtle, the instantaneous disappearance of a magical aura is an extremely loud and obvious “event” to anyone actively scrying or monitoring magical signatures. A guard watching a magical sensor grid would see a light instantly blink out, which is a massive red flag.
- Total Suppression: The stasis field is absolute. It also suppresses the beneficial properties of an item, making it impossible to use an item’s abilities “from stealth” out of the pouch. An item must be fully removed for its magic to return.
Schematic: Detachable Null-Field Pouch
This blueprint details the construction of a wearable stasis pouch, a complex magical container that replicates the effects of the rare, grafted Anuran Geode Stasis Pouch. This is a project for a master artisan, requiring a fusion of leatherworking, alchemy, and high-level runic enchantment.
Materials Needed:
- Structural Components:
- 1x Hide of a Basalt-Beast (for the outer layer)
- 1x Bolt of Lead-Lined Canvas (for the inner aura-dampening layer)
- 1x Set of Hardened Leather Straps and Bronze Buckles
- Runic Field Components:
- 1x Set of 12 Pure Slate Tiles (perfectly cut, unscribed)
- 1x Flawless Quartz Crystal (to serve as the field’s focus)
- Alchemical Components:
- 1x Flask of Alchemical Suspension Gel (see sub-recipe)
- Sub-Recipe: 1 part Refined Mineral Oil, 1 part Powdered Pearl, 1 drop of Basilisk Blood.
- 1x Flask of Alchemical Suspension Gel (see sub-recipe)
Tools Required:
- Primary Workstations:
- A Leatherworker’s Bench.
- An Alchemist’s Lab.
- An Enchanter’s Lectern with a stable work surface.
- Artisan’s Kits:
- A complete Leatherworker’s Kit.
- A full set of Alchemist’s Supplies.
- A set of Masterwork Runescribing Tools.
Skill Requirements:
- Primary Proficiency: The crafter must possess Journeyman-level proficiency in Enchanting (or Runescribing). The precise inscription and activation of the nullifying runes is the most critical step.
- Secondary Proficiencies: The crafter must also be proficient in Leatherworking and Alchemy.
- Recommendation: The power and stability of the stasis field are directly proportional to the skill of the enchanter. A fumbled roll during the runic inscription can result in a pouch that only partially dampens magic or is dangerously unstable.
Crafting Steps:
- Construct the Pouch: At the Leatherworker’s Bench, the lead-lined canvas is cut and stitched into the shape of a durable inner pouch. The tough Basalt-Beast hide is then stitched over this core, creating a rugged outer shell. The hardened leather straps and bronze buckles are then attached to form a secure harness for wearing on the belt or torso.
- Concoct the Suspension Gel: At the Alchemist’s Lab, the alchemical components are carefully mixed and heated to create the suspension gel. This thick, shimmering gel, which protects the contents from physical shock, is set aside to cool.
- Scribe the Runic Circle: At the Enchanter’s Lectern, the most difficult phase begins. The crafter must spend several hours in deep concentration, using the Runescribing Tools to meticulously etch the 12 slate tiles with the complex, interlocking runes of nullification and stasis.
- Assemble the Closure Flap: The twelve, newly-scribed runic tiles are carefully inlaid into the pouch’s flap in a perfect circle. A setting for the flawless quartz crystal is mounted in the very center of this runic circle.
- Final Assembly and Attunement: The cooled suspension gel is used to line the inside of the pouch. The final step is the attunement. The crafter must place the quartz crystal into its setting on the flap and then channel a significant amount of magical energy into it. This act awakens the runes, causing them to glow with a faint, violet light before fading. The stasis field is now active, and the pouch is ready for use.
Roric and Whispering Sickness
Hark to the words that remain, for the tablet is cracked and the meaning of many runes is lost to the dust. This is the telling of the first Stasis Pouch, from the age the scribes call the Time of Mad Stone.
In those days, a new cavern was opened by a great earth-tremor. Within it were found crystals like none had ever seen. They shone with an inner light of shifting colors and pulsed with a magical power that made the air itself thrum. The Anuran people rejoiced, for they believed it was a great gift from Gravok, a new and mighty power to fuel their creations. They called them the Whisper Shards.
But the gift was a poison. For any artisan who took a shard to their workshop would soon hear things. At first, it was a faint whisper on the edge of hearing, secrets of the stone and the stars. But the whispers grew, becoming a cacophony, a madness of voices that spoke of alien geometries and impossible creations. The artisans who worked with the shards were driven mad by this Whispering Sickness, their hands crafting monstrous, useless things, their minds shattered. The power of the crystals could not be harnessed, for the knowledge they offered was a poison to the mind.
The Clan Mothers ordered the caves sealed, but the few shards that had been taken were too dangerous to leave loose, and too powerful to destroy. They needed a way to transport them, to study them, without the carrier succumbing to the madness. They needed a vessel of perfect silence.
A young prospector named Roric, the first to find the caves and see the madness bloom, spake before the council. He had not the skill of an artisan, but the endurance of a warden. He offered to become a living vessel, to bear a pouch that could contain the sickness. The task was given to him to find the components for such a thing.
For the pouch’s body, the scrolls say he hunted the great Basalt-Beast, not for its tough hide, but because the legends told that its thick skull was a shield against the maddening hum of the deep earth. He took the hide from its brow, a piece of leather that knew how to ignore the whispers.
For the seal, he sought not runes of making or power, but runes of unmaking and silence. He journeyed to the Blasted Valley, a place where a magical war long ago had scoured all magic from the land, leaving only a great and terrible stillness. From the ruins of a shattered tower, he took slate tiles that radiated this perfect, magical silence.
For the lining, he sought a cushion against the madness. Deep in a cave where no sound had ever entered, he found the Silence-Lichen, a strange, thick gel that grew in perfect stillness. It was a living thing that knew only peace, and he gathered it with gentle hands.
Roric brought these things not to a crafter’s workshop, but to a Stoneweaver’s temple. There, in a great and painful ritual that lasted three days, the priest did not build a bag, but grafted the thing to Roric’s own body. The Basalt-Beast hide was bonded to his flesh. The Silence-Lichen was applied as a poultice. And the slate runes of nullification were set into a flap of his own skin. He endured the pain without cry, for his will was strong. He had become a living box, a vessel for the silence.
To prove the work, he had to face the source of the sickness. He walked into the Whispering Caves. The moment he entered, a thousand screaming voices flooded his mind. He walked on, his every step an agony of will. He came to the heart of the cavern, where the Mother Shard, the greatest of the crystals, pulsed with a light that was pain and a sound that was madness.
He took the Mother Shard in his hands, and the full force of its alien mind crashed into his. As he felt his sanity begin to fray, he pushed the shard into the pouch upon his torso and sealed the runic flap.
And all at once, there was silence.
The screaming voices in his head, the maddening pressure, the chaotic visions—all of it vanished. There was only the quiet of his own thoughts and the steady beat of his own heart. The pouch did not just muffle the shard’s power; it had erased it from the world. He was able to walk from the cave, sane and whole, carrying the source of the madness as a silent, sleeping stone against his skin.
The Moral of the Story: For there is some knowledge that is a poison, and some power that is a madness. True wisdom is not always in understanding a thing, but in knowing when to create the silence that contains it.

- Perfect Preservation: Objects stored inside the pouch are protected from all physical damage and cannot be located by any divination spell of 5th level or lower.
- Resonant Purge: Once per day, you can place a non-magical item that is under the effect of a curse or a divination spell inside the pouch. After one hour, any such magical effect of 3rd level or lower on the object is ended.
Blades in the Dark
Null-Field Pouch A strange, living pouch that must be ritually grafted to the user’s body. It is perfectly concealed and its interior is a space of absolute arcane silence. (Ritual, Concealed, 0 Load)
This is not a piece of gear, but a permanent body modification, undertaken by those who must transport dangerous items without alerting the Spirit Wardens or rival whispers.
- Special Qualities:
- Dermal Graft: The pouch is part of your body. It costs 0 Load and is automatically concealed. It cannot be taken from you unless your enemies get very, very messy.
- Containment: You can place a small object inside the pouch. While sealed, its arcane energies are completely silenced. A ghost, demon, or other spirit possessing the object is trapped and cannot use its powers, communicate, or escape until the object is removed.
- Activatable Abilities:
- Arcane Smuggling: When you use the pouch to bypass magical security (alarms, spirit-sentinels, etc.), you get +1d to your Prowl or Finesse roll.
- Resist Possession: When you resist a consequence from an arcane source trying to possess or control you, you can touch the pouch. You get Potent (+1 Effect) on your resistance roll as the pouch absorbs the hostile energy.
Call of Cthulhu (7th Edition)
The Silent Sac of the Deep A grotesque, biological artifact that appears as a pulsating, leathery sac. It must be surgically grafted to the user’s torso, a process that is both agonizing and sanity-shattering.
This is not a tool, but a symbiotic organism, perhaps of deep-sea origin. It “eats” magic, making it the perfect vessel for transporting dangerous Mythos artifacts.
- Game Mechanics:
- Grafted Organ: This is a permanent body modification that requires a successful Hard Medicine roll and 1d4 weeks of recovery. The process costs the recipient 1d6 Sanity points.
- Limited Capacity: The sac can hold one object no larger than a human skull.
- Mythos Inertia: Any magical or Mythos artifact placed inside the sac is rendered completely dormant. It cannot be detected by magical means, cannot communicate telepathically, and its powers cannot be activated until it is removed. This allows for the “safe” transport of even the most dangerous items.
- Psychic Strain: Containing a potent artifact is taxing. At the start of each day that a Mythos artifact is held in the sac, the user must make a POW roll. Failure results in the user suffering from a bout of temporary insanity as the artifact’s dormant consciousness presses against the biological barrier.
Knave (2nd Edition)
Stasis Pouch A strange, leathery pouch that is fused to your skin. It has a flap sealed with slate runes. It does not take up an inventory slot.
- Slots: Takes up 0 of a character’s 10 inventory slots.
- Qualities:
- The pouch can hold up to 3 items of normal size (e.g., a book, a potion, a dagger).
- Items inside the pouch cannot be broken or damaged by any means.
- Abilities:
- Magic Nullification: Any magical item placed inside the pouch loses all of its magical properties and cannot be detected by magic until it is removed.
- Cleanse Item: Once per day, you can place an item afflicted by a non-artifact-level curse inside the pouch. The item must save versus Magic. On a success, the curse is permanently broken.
Fate Core

- Perfect Preservation: Items inside the pouch are immune to damage from any source affecting the wearer.
- Cleanse Item: Once per day, you can use the pouch to attempt to remove a curse or divination effect from an object. Treat this as a targeted dispel magic spell with a caster level of 8th, affecting one magical effect on the object.
Traveller (Mongoose 2nd Edition)
Concealment Graft (TL 13) This is an advanced medical procedure that integrates a small, shielded pocket into the user’s torso, undetectable by all but the most sophisticated sensors. It is a favored tool of intelligence agents and high-level smugglers.
- Cost: Cr 180,000
- Game Mechanics:
- Surgical Graft: This is a permanent surgical implant that requires a hospital and a Difficult (10+) Medic check.
- Undetectable: The pocket is shielded against all sensors of TL 12 or lower, including psionic detection. It grants DM+3 on any Deception or Stealth check made to hide a small item (up to 1kg) on one’s person.
- Stasis Field: The pocket is shielded from exotic energies. Any technological item placed inside becomes inert—it cannot receive or transmit signals, and any internal power source is put into a dormant state. The same is true for psionically active items.
- Reinforced Lining: The pocket has an effective Armour of 12 for the purpose of protecting its contents.
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (4th Edition)
Pouch of Blessed Silence This is not a crafted item, but a grotesque relic—a piece of sanctified flesh from a long-dead saint of Morr or Shallya, grafted onto the bearer in a painful, secret ritual. It is warm to the touch and unnervingly still.
- Encumbrance: 0 (it is a part of the user’s body)
- Availability: Unique
- Qualities: Blessed (Morr), Gruesome, Magical
- Game Mechanics:
- The Ritual Graft: Acquiring this pouch requires grafting it to one’s body. This is an extended, painful ritual that requires a successful Hard (–20) Endurance Test. On a failure, the character gains a Festering Wound. The process is unsettling to witness and causes 1 Corruption point.
- Silence the Curse: Any Cursed item placed inside the pouch has its curse rendered completely dormant. It inflicts no ill effects on the bearer and does not radiate a magical aura.
- Contain the Taint: Any item tainted by Chaos or Undead magic has its corrupting influence nullified while inside the pouch. The wearer does not gain Corruption Points from carrying such an item in this manner, and it cannot be detected by abilities like Magical Sense.
- Undetectable: The pouch and its contents cannot be located or perceived by any scrying spell or ritual of less than Overwhelming power.
