    • Necrotic Aura: You emit an aura of negative energy in a 60-foot-radius emanation. Each living creature in that area must attempt a DC 25 Fortitude save. On a failed save, a creature takes 5d6 negative energy damage and its Hit Point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its Hit Point maximum to 0.  
    • Drawback: While attuned to this item, you take a –2 penalty to saving throws against necromancy effects.
