The sky cracked open, and down it reached with tendrils of white light, searing him with all he had tried to command. Dhiram cried out, and his voice was lost in the storm’s fury. The earth shook, and the mountains groaned as Dhiram vanished into the storm, consumed by the very power he had sought to wield. All that remained were the gauntlets, lying upon the stone, quiet now, yet charged with the power that had both made and unmade him.
From that day forward, the gauntlets lay waiting, for only those who sought not to control, but to understand, could don them without facing Dhiram’s fate. It is said that the gauntlets hold both the rage of the storm and the memory of the smith, bound forever by his ambition and his folly.
Moral of the Story: Power is not for binding, nor for taking as one’s own. Those who seek to wield forces beyond their heart’s understanding must first learn respect, or else they too shall vanish, as fleeting as thunder’s echo.

- Abilities:
- Thunderstrike: When you roll a 6 on a Skirmish or Wreck roll, you may deal +1d6 harm to all targets in a small area. However, you also take 1 Stress from the energy feedback.
- Stormborn Step: Once per job, you can temporarily glide up to two stories high or move through electrically charged areas without harm. Take +1d to Finesse or Prowl rolls while using this ability.
- Charged Ward: While wearing the gauntlets, reduce Harm from electrical attacks by one level. If an enemy attacks you with an electrical weapon, you may conduct the energy back at them, giving them level 1 Harm (“Shocked”).
- Attunement Requirement: Whispers and those attuned to the ghost field can spend 1 Stress to activate the gauntlets. Any other user takes 1 Harm when activating Thunderstrike or Stormborn Step, due to the volatile energy.

- Storm Sense: Once per day, you gain the ability to sense the direction and intensity of the nearest storm, as well as any natural dangers related to the weather within a 1-mile radius.
