1. Ire of Discord
Effect: A sudden surge of hostility emanates from you, causing a visible rift among your allies.
One ally within 30 feet of you becomes irritable and suffers a penalty of -2 on their next attack roll.
Roleplay Element: The affected ally feels a quick surge of irritation, making them snap at others and act recklessly in their next attack, resulting in decreased accuracy.
2. Spiteful Surge
Effect: An enemy within 50 feet of you feels a sudden boost in their malice towards your party.
The chosen enemy gains +2 to their next damage roll.
Roleplay Element: The enemy’s eyes narrow, and their grip tightens as they are filled with a momentary burst of spite, making their next attack land with greater force.
3. Malice Mark
Effect: A rune of malevolence forms under one of your allies within 20 feet, causing them to act out of spite.
The targeted ally must target you or another ally with their next attack, if possible.
Roleplay Element: Consumed with a momentary but intense ill will, the ally feels compelled to lash out at a familiar face, whether they want to or not.
Green Deck: “Crit” Cards
1. Veil of Vexation
Effect: A shroud of irritating energy wraps around an enemy, causing their focus to waver.
The chosen enemy suffers a -2 penalty to their next saving throw.
Roleplay Element: The enemy grunts in annoyance, feeling as if a swarm of invisible insects is buzzing around them, distracting their next attempt to resist magical or harmful effects.
2. Torrent of Triumph
Effect: An ally within 30 feet experiences a brief, triumphant rush, making them bad-tempered but more effective.
The ally gains a +2 bonus on their next damage roll but suffers a -1 penalty to any saving throws until the end of their next turn.
Roleplay Element: Filled with a heady sense of invincibility, the ally attacks with unyielding force but becomes overconfident, making them more susceptible to negative effects.
3. Glimmer of Grouse
Effect: For a moment, the weaknesses of an enemy become glaringly apparent to you.
You gain a +2 bonus to your next attack roll against the chosen enemy.
Roleplay Element: Annoyed at your opponent’s resilience, your focus sharpens, allowing you to see a momentary chink in their armor or lapse in their magical defenses, which you exploit in your next attack.
As with the previous cards, these are placed at the bottom of their respective decks as soon as their effects have been noted for completion. These cards are designed to emphasize bad-tempered interactions and consequences that affect various members of the playing field, adding an additional layer of complexity and roleplay opportunities.
