Lore
During an era when abyssal rifts and desolate cold threatened the hearths of the 73 island nations of Saṃsāra, high custodial magisters sought to unite the protective sanctity of domestic guardians, the joyous vitality of celestial feasts, and the volatile wrath of tempest skies. Under the cosmological authority of the moon-goddess Gaialilith, master artificers gathered in an atelier powered by balanced closed-circuit steam conduits driven by elemental fire and elemental water. Drawing upon the magical essences of five foundational matrices—the athletic warding bronze of the Vrenkan Domovoi talisman, the storm-harnessing lightning elixir of Zephyrstone, the radiant anti-hex confection of the falling stars, the grief-woven spatial void of the abandonment vial, and the joyful ethereal essence of powdered flamevine sprite wings—the artificers subjected them to high-tier consolidation anchored to a wagon-sized Tier 5 mana crystal. Fusing the perishable culinary catalysts, volatile fluids, and emotional spatial threads into the bronze and silver reliquary, they forged an indivisible Tier 5 medallion. The resulting talisman permanently anchors boundless physical vigor, tempestuous retribution, celestial grace, and deceptive spatial desolation into a single holy aegis.
Description
A palm-sized, heavy talisman of burnished Vrenkan bronze and tarnished aether-silver suspended from a thick, non-conductive woven silver chain. At its core rests a large, multi-faceted citrine gemstone that pulses with rhythmic golden and violet fire, flanked by tiny embedded shards of translucent Zephyrstone and powdered celestial minerals. The bronze frame is intricately relief-carved with leaping hearth spirits whose raised hands cradle delicate gossamer sprite wings dusted with starlight glaze. Miniature micro-perforated brass vents ring the outer bezel, constantly exhaling a thin, effervescent vapor carrying the sweet scents of caramelized pixie sugar, fresh mountain pine, ozone-charged lightning, and distant temple incense. Faint arcs of static electricity and ghostly violet runes ripple across the metallic surface whenever the wearer moves, yet the talisman rests against the chest with a soothing, invigorated warmth.

Multiple Passives Magic
- Aura of Tempestuous Vitality: The wielder and all allies within a 20-foot radius gain complete immunity to non-magical exhaustion, gain total resistance to electrical damage, and recover hit points from magical healing at an increased rate equal to the item’s Resilience (10).
- Galvanic Stride & Agile Grace: The bearer gains a continuous +3 bonus to Armor Check and complete advantage on all physical evasion checks involving leaps, high-speed sprints, or dodging environmental collapses.
- Celestial Veil of Sovereign Poise: The user radiates a faint starlit halo that continuously warps hostile intent. Direct curses, hexes, or mental tracking targeting the wielder suffer a penalty equal to the wielder’s Tier (5), while ranged ballistic attacks waver across deceptive spatial folds.
- Electrified Kinetic Retribution: Any melee strike that hits the bearer triggers a static backfire, dealing 5 electrical damage to the attacker and numbing their motor nerves.
Multiple Active Magics
- Tempest Hearth-Dash (1 Action): Shouting an energetic command of endurance, the bearer channels the condensed storm-essence and Domovoi spirit. The wearer teleports up to 60 feet in a crackling flash of golden lightning; all hostile entities caught adjacent to the point of departure or arrival take 50 electrical damage and must pass a physical stability test or fall prone.
- Starshield Bastion Burst (1 Action): The wielder touches the central citrine to release an expanding shockwave of warm celestial mist and powdered sprite dust in a 30-foot radius. All allies in the area recover 50 hit points, are cleansed of all active curses, poisons, or fear effects, and gain a protective ward that absorbs the next 25 points of magical damage they would receive.
- Spatial Void of Mournful Isolation (1 Action): The wielder recites a verse of ancient abandonment, projecting an intense spatial illusion in a 30-foot zone within 60 feet. Hostile creatures in the area perceive an endless, freezing chasm of desolate emptiness accompanied by mournful auditory wails, completely severing line of sight and forcing targets to pass a mental fortitude check or become paralyzed with despair for 2 rounds.
- Zephyr-Sprite Thunderstrike (1 Action): Infusing physical attacks with the blended essence of sprite wings and bottled thunder, the wielder causes their strikes to crackle with radiant electricity for 1 minute; each successful attack deals an additional 15 electrical damage and discharges a blinding flash of fairy glitter that disorients adjacent foes.

Targeting, Disabling, and Repairing Zephyr-Sprite Hearth-Warden’s Star-Amulet 814
- Targeting and Disabling Thresholds:
- To disable the talisman directly, an adversary must declare a targeted strike against the neck medallion rather than performing a standard offensive check against the wearer.
- The defensive threshold required to hit the medallion equals the wearer avatar’s total Armor Check plus the avatar’s tier level (5) plus the roll of the avatar’s tier dice (5d12) plus the item’s native Armor Check modifier (+3).
- If a targeted strike successfully matches or exceeds this threshold, the amulet’s enchantments are immediately disabled and unattuned, causing its magical wards to collapse instantly—including the static retribution field, the aura of tempestuous vitality, the galvanic evasion bonuses, and the celestial anti-hex veil.
- Once successfully disabled, any follow-up targeted attacks deal damage directly to the item’s physical hit point pool.
- The total hit point pool of the talisman equals the avatar’s maximum hit points plus 50 (calculated as base resilience 10 multiplied by Tier 5).
- The talisman enters a broken state when targeted attacks reduce its hit points by half or more: Avatar Maximum Hit Points + 50
- In a broken state, the central citrine cracks, the woven silver cord frays, the delicate gossamer sprite reliefs shear off, and the micro-perforated brass vents warp, leaving the relic entirely inert and incapable of attunement or activation.
- If targeted damage depletes the item’s hit point pool to zero, the artifact suffers irreversible destruction, disintegrating into burned bronze flakes, pulverized yellow crystal dust, charred sugar slag, and non-functional silver wire.
- Repair Procedures:
- The talisman cannot regenerate its lost hit points passively; structural damage does not mend through resting, meditation, or downtime without specialized intervention.
- While in a damaged or broken state, the talisman cannot be re-attuned or worn for magical protection until its entire hit point pool is fully restored to maximum.
- Restoring the amulet requires a master artisan proficient in Metallurgy, Lapidary / Gemsetting, Bio-Alchemical Artificing, and Aetheric Essence Binding at a minimum skill level of 10 (base 5 plus 5 for Tier 5).
- Repairs must occur within an advanced workshop powered by balanced closed-circuit steam conduits blending elemental fire and elemental water, utilizing a jewel-soldering flame and a mana-tempered brass brazier.
- Essential restoration reagents include cold-drawn silver solder, a pinch of crushed Zephyrstone flux, refined pixie-sugar bonding paste, a fresh shard of flawless citrine to re-facet fractured seams, and a vial of stabilized lightning essence.
- After the bronze frame is re-soldered, the micro-vents realigned, the citrine reseated, and the item’s hit point pool completely replenished, the wearer must repeat the one-minute vocal synchronization ritual while pressing the warm core against the sternum under open starlight to restore complete magical function.
Acquisition and Commerce of Zephyr-Sprite Hearth-Warden’s Star-Amulet 814
- Methods of Acquisition:
- Master Alchemical-Culinary Consolidation: An artisan possessing master proficiencies in Metallurgy, Culinary Enchantment / Pastry-Alchemy, Essence Manipulation, and Lapidary / Gemsetting at a minimum skill level of 10 can synthesize the five prerequisite items: Fairy Wing Cupcakes, Stormwind Potion, Spatial Illusion 37 of Abandonment, Celestial Soufflé of Warded Radiance, and Domovoi 947 of Athletic Grace. The procedure requires an advanced atelier powered by closed-circuit steam conduits balancing elemental fire and elemental water, containment drawing from a wagon-sized Tier 5 mana crystal, payment of the 15% consolidation fee based on the combined value of the components, and a successful crafting roll avoiding a 1 on a d20.
- Recovering the Relic from High-Altitude Ruin Spires: The amulet can be recovered from the cyclopean sky-shrines and tempest-battered aeries perched atop the jagged peaks of the northern island rim. These forgotten redoubts are locked behind raging lightning squalls, desolate spatial labyrinths woven from ancient isolation magic, and guardian automatons that require both aerial agility and electrical grounding to bypass.
- Subduing a Renegade Storm-Warden or Embittered Sky-Sovereign: An avatar may claim the medallion directly from a fallen sovereign inquisitor or an embittered celestial magistrate who wears it openly into high-stakes skirmishes. Because legendary items risk destabilizing into inert crystal dust upon the death of an attuned master, the wielder must be systematically disarmed, incapacitated through precise non-lethal pressure strikes, or forced into unconditional surrender prior to claiming the prize.
- Conclave Imperial Award of Sanctuary: The Conclave of Sovereign Magistrates or a unified council of the 73 island nations may award this legendary aegis to an avatar who averts a cataclysmic tempest, breaks an abyssal siege threatening sovereign hearths, or restores a broken leyline conduit linking the great island trade routes.

- Spirit Binding and Aetheric Essence Manipulation: Skill level 10
- Mind’s Eye Deep Focus (active mental discipline to balance volatile electrical charges, fragile confection matrices, spatial isolation voids, and domestic hearth spirits)
- Crafting Steps:
- Regulate the atelier’s steam conduits, verifying that the elemental fire and elemental water pressure chambers maintain exact hydraulic equilibrium to provide a vibration-free crafting environment.
- Secure the Tier 5 Magic Crystal beneath the forge hearth and mount the brass-and-quartz channeling rod to draw a continuous, low-frequency current of pure mana into the central work basin.
- Place the physical components into the ceramic crucible: the bronze talisman of Domovoi 947, the brewed liquid of the Stormwind Potion, the prepared vial of Spatial Illusion 37, the glazed portion of the Celestial Soufflé, and the baked Fairy Wing Cupcakes.
- Vent pressurized elemental steam into the crucible while chanting catalytic consolidation rites, breaking down the physical matrices and reducing the metals, volatile liquids, confections, and spirit threads into a luminous, swirling alchemical slurry while the channeling rod prevents magical dispersion.
- Add the refined bronze ingots, aether-silver wire, crushed Zephyrstone flux, and Nimbusite-Celestine nectar to the crucible, blending the compound with a glass stirring rod until the metal, mineral, and organic matrices fuse into an iridescent, starlight-flecked alloy.
- Roll a d20 to verify the structural and magical integrity of the high-tier synthesis: a result of 2 through 19 confirms a stable Tier 5 consolidation; a roll of 20 imparts an unintended harmonic resonance; a roll of 1 results in a catastrophic containment failure that destroys all raw components.
- Cast and turn the cooling alloy on the steam lathe, forging a palm-sized medallion featuring relief carvings of leaping hearth spirits, gossamer sprite wings, an open central gemstone housing, and a ring of micro-perforated brass vents along the outer bezel.
- Using diamond-tipped burins and a jeweler’s loupe, inscribe delicate spatial-dampening runes along the outer rim and cut intake micro-channels linking the internal vapor reservoirs to the perforated vents.
- Set the large multi-faceted citrine gemstone into the center of the bronze disc, securing it with the Nimbusite-Celestine bonding paste infused with powdered Flamevine Sprite wings, allowing the core to pulse with rhythmic golden and violet light.
- Braid the high-purity aether-silver wire into a heavy, non-conductive woven chain and weld it securely through the top suspension loop of the medallion.
- Connect the pressure-calibration hand pump to the bezel intake, charge the internal vapor chambers to baseline operating pressure, and plunge the completed talisman into the geothermal brine vat for three minutes to lock the structural matrix and anchor the enchantments.
- Withdraw the finished Zephyr-Sprite Hearth-Warden’s Star-Amulet 814 from the vat, verify the alignment of its electrical, spatial, and protective circuits through the Mind’s Eye, pay the mandatory 15% consolidation fee based on the combined value of the components, and complete the standard one-minute vocal synchronization ritual while pressing the warm core against the sternum under open starlight.
Leaping House-Uncle, Bottle-Storm, Cold Hole of Loneliness, and Sweet Bread that Would Not Burn
In the ancient turn of the water when the moon-mother Gaialilith had not yet counted all seventy-and-three of her dry stones in the great salt foam, the roofs of men were very fragile and the wind had many sharp teeth. In those days, if a man had a fire in his hearth, the mountain storm would come down like a gray wolf with big nails and blow the roof-straw into the sea, and the man would sit upon his stool with wet knees and weep into his cold porridge.
Now upon the high rock-place of the island nation Vrenka, where the ground had long iron pipes that spit white dragon-breath day and night, there lived a turnkey-herdsman whose name upon the split slate is written as Kazu-Morn, though the old village-tongues of the goats call him The Man Whose Boots Do Not Touch the Dirt. In his little house of black river-stone, there sat beside the hearth an uncle-spirit—a Domovoi of great leaping bone, who wore no coat and had hair like dry grass. When the great white snow-fall came down from the gray sky, this house-uncle did not hide under the kettle; he jumped upon the cedar beam, he leapt across twelve roof-poles in one breath, and he held up the great pine timber with his hairy thumbs so the little children would not have their heads mashed like boiled parsnips.
Because the uncle-spirit had leap-magic in his shins, the artisan of the village took a saucer of yellow bronze, hung it upon a string of twisted white river-metal, and glued into its middle a yellow sun-stone that beat like a bird’s breast: thump-thump, thump-thump. This was the neck-trinket of swift grace, and when the herdsman Kazu-Morn ran after the mountain rams, he did not get short of wind, for the yellow stone made his chest warm like fresh sheep-milk.
Yet peace does not sit long upon the grass. From the high crag where the dark clouds grind their teeth together came the howling sky-cutters, led by an iron-headed cloud-ogre named Thunder-Gnasher. This giant carried in his fist a great club made of blue lightning-snakes, and he shouted until the chimney-pots broke: “Bring down the fat butter! Bring down the young sheep! For I will crack your stone houses like pigeon-eggs, and drink your hearth-fire into my black belly!”
The herdsman Kazu-Morn sat upon his three-legged bench. He looked into his wicker basket, where five small, unlike things were lying together without talking: First, the palm-bronze medallion of the leaping house-uncle, with its red-gold citrine eye that wanted to run over walls. Second, a little pot of sour green glass containing the Stormwind Water, which the mountain seers had brewed out of Zephyrstone gravel, thunderleaf juice, and the wings of biting lightning-bugs to make a man’s fist hit like a thunderbolt. Third, a sealed clay vial called the Thirty-Seventh Emptiness, which the sad cave-woman Venra had wept into when she had no friends, full of gray shadowroot and cold grief that made a room feel like an abandoned ditch where no dog barks. Fourth, a baked white cushion-soufflé, which the laughing star-cooks and the temple salve-men had baked with nimbus-chocolate and sweet warding butter, which had no brown crust and smiled against all witch-spells. Fifth, a pair of small fairy cakes covered in pink goat-cream and powdered with the fine, dry wings of the flamevine bug, which made whoever took a bite giggle like a baby and skip across the ditches without looking down.
The running herdsman Kazu-Morn said to his goat-kin: “If I throw the fairy cake, the cloud-ogre will only lick his lips and ask for lard. If I drink the storm-juice, my liver will burn with lightning. If I drop the vial of cold loneliness, we shall all sit in the snow and weep until our toes fall off. But if we take the great kettle of steam, where the boiling fire-water and the freezing sky-water wrestle inside the iron pipes without a stick, we can boil the five things into one neck-plate, and our feet will have the wind of nine mountains.”
They took the five things into the house of the big pipes where the iron wheels turn. They did not burn oak logs beneath the pot; they turned the brass screw-pegs until the hot steam of Gaialilith came roaring out of the floor like two white bulls. Into the red ceramic basin they threw the things: The bronze running-plate of the house-uncle, The lightning-water with its biting bug-wings, The gray mud-pot of the lonely woman’s tears, The white star-bread that had no fear of curses, And the little sweet cakes of the flamevine fairy.
The ancient tablet is scratched here with much dirt, saying: The steam-pot screamed for three turnings of the roasting-spit. The smell that rose up was very terrible and very sweet; it was like the bottom of an iron chimney where burnt lightning, hot honey-sugar, wild pine-gum, and the grease of old church-candles have fallen together into a warm puddle.
When the soup turned thick like gold wax, Kazu-Morn took his tongs of river-slate and lifted the hot metal upon the cold stone table. He did not pound it into a sword to poke ribs, nor into a plow to turn mud; he hammered it into a round shield-amulet for the neck. Around the border he carved four little running house-uncles whose hands held up the thin, glass-like wings of the wind-bugs. In the middle belly he pressed the great yellow sun-stone, and around the iron edge he punched tiny holes like the grater that scrapes hard cheese.
When he hung the heavy woven silver rope around his throat, the translation says: His heart did not beat with man-blood; it beat with the noise of an iron forge, and his two legs became like two spring-traps of dry ash-wood.
The cloud-ogre Thunder-Gnasher came leaping down the cliff-side with forty-and-four storm-giants behind him, swinging blue fire-clubs that smelled of scorched sheep-wool. “Where is the goat-man who keeps his hearth warm?” roared the cloud-giant. “I will eat his roof-tree for my tooth-stick!”
Kazu-Morn did not pull his wool cap over his face. He stepped out upon the high hay-barn roof. He shouted the great athletic cry of the Vrenkan forge: “To the high ridges!”
Instantly, the central yellow gem of the talisman burst with a great sun-flash of violet fire and gold sparks. A sound went out into the valley—not a small shout, but a clean, ringing crack like a church-bell being struck with an iron hammer, followed by the high laughing whistles of sixty wind-sprites.
Kazu-Morn gave a small jump with his left sandal. He did not fall into the cabbage-bed; the lightning under his heels threw him sixty cubits through the cloud. He landed upon the very nose of the cloud-ogre Thunder-Gnasher with a crash of static fire that made the giant’s teeth rattle in his gums like dry beans in a jar.
The cloud-ogre struck at him with his club of blue lightning. But the talisman upon Kazu-Morn’s chest did not get hot; it drank the lightning as a dry ditch drinks a spring rain. The wielder’s body became light like thistle-down; when the forty-and-four giants threw their stone axes, the space in front of the goat-man bent like a wet sheepskin, and the flying stones curved into the empty sky and smashed their own cousins in the knee.
Then Kazu-Morn touched the cheese-grater holes on the bottom of the bronze plate. He breathed into the cold air the sad word that the lonely woman Venra had written on her stone wall: “The house is empty, the soup is cold, and nobody comes down the road.”
From the pierced holes of the medallion, a great gray fog of desolation rolled out across the grass. It was not a fog of water; it was the cold gray fog of total abandonment. The forty-and-four storm-giants, who had been roaring like mountain bulls, suddenly stopped their feet. They looked at their iron clubs; they looked at their big thumbs; they felt an awful, cold loneliness in their ribs, as if their mothers had left them in a dry well when they were little boys. They fell down upon their bellies in the wet heather and wept until the mud ran into their whiskers, crying: “Nobody loves the cloud-boys! The sky is wide and empty, and our hearths have no bread!”
Then the ogre Thunder-Gnasher raised his great yellow eyes and tried to spit a final curse of black rot upon the village. He spat three words of deep witch-poison meant to make the sheep rot in their wool and the roofs fall down.
Kazu-Morn touched the sun-stone with his open palm. The white star-bread and the nimbus-glaze woke up inside the bronze. A warm, golden fog smelling of caramelized sugar, wild honey, and sweet oven-smoke rushed out in a great circle. When the black witch-words touched this golden breath, they did not stick; they turned into pink sugar-crumbs and fell harmlessly into the grass. The wounded sheep in the pens stood up on their legs; the children’s running-sores dried up into clean skin; and the cold, shivering hearths inside the stone houses burst into red, crackling flames without anyone touching a flint.
The cloud-ogre sat in the wet dock-weeds, rubbing his bruised nose. His thunder-club had turned into a stick of cold ash, his mouth tasted like stale turnip-water, and his knees were soft like dough.
“Go back into the high rain-rocks, giant of the noisy club,” said the herdsman Kazu-Morn, his voice carrying the deep, sweet weight of a cathedral chime that smells of baked feast-loaves. “Your lightning is only a noisy stick to break fences, and your wrath is only the belly-ache of a boy who has had no breakfast. We have sewn the hearth-spirit to the sky-bolt, we have salted the lonely ditch with sweet cakes, and the ground will not give you its mutton. Take your forty-four weeping brothers and blow the wet fog toward the fish-islands, or I will turn my key again and leave your wits in an empty house with no doors.”
The giant got up upon his ox-knees, pulled his weeping cloud-brothers by their hair, and crawled back into the northern mist without taking a single dried fish.
When the King of the island council came riding up on his white mountain-griffon, surrounded by seventy guards wearing silver-plated pots on their heads and shouting: “Where is the great dragon who broke the high barley-barns?”, the herdsman Kazu-Morn was only sitting upon his bench, scraping the sheep-dung from his heel with the round edge of the bronze medallion.
“The dragon was only a cold wind that had forgotten how to laugh, king of the tall feathers,” the herdsman said, while a little puff of sweet star-sugar mist blew out of the medal’s tiny holes into the griffon’s whiskers, making the fierce bird sneeze and close its yellow eyes in peace. “Do not sound the brass cow-horns. Eat your porridge while it has heat, give the chimney-uncle his bowl of grease, and let the storm whistle outside the shutter.”
For sixty years the mountain village of Vrenka knew neither frost nor thunder-rot, and when Kazu-Morn grew very old and his boots stayed upon the ground, he did not give the star-plate to the iron-merchants; he hung it upon the roof-beam above the great hearth of the island, where the steam pipes whistle under the moon-light, waiting for the sky to split its seams once more.
The moral of the story is: The warrior who holds only thunder makes a great ruin of his home, and the sad heart who sits only in tears builds a tomb of stone; but the guardian who mixes the lightning of the heights with the sweet bread of the hearth and the swift leap of the spirit can laugh in the teeth of the mountain and keep the roof unbroken above the heads of the small.

Enemies adjacent to your starting space and landing space take 8d12 electricity damage (DC 38 basic Reflex save). On a critical failure, the creature is also knocked prone.
- Starshield Bastion Burst [two-actions] (healing, primal, vitality); Frequency: once per hour; Effect: Tapping the citrine vents a 30-foot burst of celestial mist and confection dust. Up to four allies in the area regain 8d8+20 Hit Points, clear all active non-magical poisons, diseases, and the Frightened condition, and gain 25 temporary Hit Points for 10 minutes.
- Spatial Void of Mournful Isolation [two-actions] (emotion, illusion, mental, primal); Frequency: once per day; Effect: You project an illusory 30-foot-radius sphere of desolation within 60 feet. Enemies in the area must attempt a DC 38 Will save.

Traveller (Mongoose 2nd Edition)
TL 16 Sovereign Tempest-Hearth Medallion
High-Tech Psionic-Resonant Aegis (Worn Item, Neck Slot)
- Tech Level: 16
- Weight: 0.5 kg
- Cost: Cr 3,200,000
- Armor Check / Defense: Grants +3 Armor to the wearer’s entire torso when worn openly around the neck.
- Power Source: Micro-gravitic containment cell (continuous operation for 500 standard hours).
- Form: A singular neck medallion combining cold-worked superconductor bronze, silver circuitry strands, a crystalline piezo-electric citrine core, and micro-dispersion vapor nozzles. Occupies the neck slot exclusively.
Passive Mechanics
- Aura of Tempestuous Vitality: Emits an ultra-low frequency bio-restorative field in a 6-meter radius. The wearer and companions within range are immune to physical fatigue from atmospheric pressure, toxic air mixtures, or forced marches, gain DM+3 on checks to resist biological contagions, and double their natural characteristic point recovery rate during medical rests.
- Galvanic Stride & Trajectory Refraction: Integrated grav-impulse buffers grant DM+2 on all Athletics (dexterity) checks to sprint, leap, or dodge debris. Micro-gravitic light deflection bends incoming ballistic paths, imposing DM-2 on all ranged projectile and energy fire targeting the user.
- Electrostatic Retribution: Any attacker who strikes the wearer with an uninsulated handheld weapon or unarmed grapple immediately takes 2D electrical damage from an automatic static feedback discharge.
Active Mechanics
- Sub-Spatial Lightning Transit (Significant Action): The user triggers the quantum displacement coil while vocalizing a biometric release phrase. The wearer teleports instantly up to 20 meters. A concussive electrical discharge blasts outward at the entry and exit coordinates: all targets within 2 meters of either point suffer 3D damage and must pass an Average (8+) Athletics (strength) check or be thrown prone.
- Biomantic Restoration Cloud (Significant Action): Tapping the crystal core vents an aerosol mist across a 6-meter radius. Up to four wounded individuals instantly restore 2D points of characteristic damage (split among STR, DEX, and END), clear active chemical toxins, and gain a kinetic barrier absorbing the next 10 points of damage taken.
- Desolation Holo-Field (Significant Action): Reciting an encoded frequency sequence into the nozzles deploys a 10-meter holo-sensory spatial rift within 20 meters for 5 minutes. Hostile forces inside the field must succeed on a Difficult (10+) Willpower or Recon check; failure causes targets to freeze in grief and panic, forfeiting their next physical action.
- Harmonic Arc Disruption (Minor Action): For 10 combat rounds, the user’s close-combat attacks discharge localized arc-plasma, adding +1D damage and releasing a strobe flash that imposes DM-2 on the struck target’s next combat check.
