The world of Saṃsāra seems to be full of small “mom and pop” or family sized shops. This stims from the crafting specializations that the people of Saṃsāra seem to fall in to. If the shop has too much competition or just does not perform well in the market, they change the gear they wear and fill a different niche in the market.
The shops do hire local manual workers to do labor-intensive tasks or other specialized crafters to perform the task they do not want to or cannot do themselves.
