Behavior: The minion, upon being summoned, quickly assesses the situation and priorities. It then proceeds to take action in organizing and managing resources, be it in a combat scenario or a non-combat task that requires administrative prowess. Though the minion can engage in combat, it prefers to utilize its abilities to streamline operations, delegating tasks, and ensuring the efficient use of time and resources.

Magics they can use:

  • Time Dilation: Temporarily slow down time within a 10-foot radius to allow for more efficient task execution.
  • Aura of Efficiency: Creates an aura that grants allies within a 20-foot radius a +2 bonus to all skill checks related to administration.
  • Telepathic Coordination: Enables the minion to telepathically coordinate with allies, reducing misunderstandings and delays.

Roleplay Emphasis on Administration: The minion’s primary role is that of an administrator, whether in a combat or a non-combat setting. Its primary goal is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its summoner’s actions and decisions. For example, in a combat situation, the minion might strategically allocate resources, directing healers to those most in need or advising on the best use of limited magical items. In a social or political setting, the minion might work behind the scenes, coordinating allies, prioritizing tasks, and even subtly manipulating events to favor its summoner.

Its scroll and quill are not just for show; they are magical items that enhance its abilities. For example, the scroll could contain vital information on the enemies the party faces, giving them insights that could turn the tide of battle. The quill could magically document events as they happen, creating a record that could be invaluable for future planning or legal disputes. Given its administrative focus, the minion might even question the ethics of poorly planned actions, offering an alternative course that is not only more effective but also more ethical.

Though the minion’s time in Saṃsāra is limited, the organizational and administrative changes it makes could have long-lasting impacts. The efficiency it brings could turn the tide in a battle, save crucial time in a rescue, or even avert a political disaster. This makes “Minion Sigil 42” an item of considerable power, particularly for avatars who understand the value of effective administration.

    • Alchemical Set
    • Enchanter’s Quill
    • Hammer and Chisel
    • Gem-setting Pliers
    • Runescribing Needle
    • Timekeeping Hourglass, attuned to magical crafting

    • Alchemy Skill Level 8 or higher
    • Enchanting Skill Level 9 or higher
    • Smithing Skill Level 7 or higher
    • Weaving Skill Level 6 or higher
  • Crafting Steps:
    • Begin by placing the bronze disk on the Arcane Forge. Light the forge using both Elemental Essence of Fire and Elemental Essence of Water to prepare the disk for enchantment.
    • Apply Eldritch Ink to your Enchanter’s Quill and begin transcribing the summoning glyphs from the Scroll of Transcription onto the bronze disk. Concentrate on forming each glyph meticulously. Use the Runescribing Needle for finer details.
    • Use the Gem-setting Pliers to place the Opalescent Gemstone in the center of the disk. With Hammer and Chisel, secure the gemstone into the disk.
    • Apply a drop of Essence of Time to the gemstone. As you do this, flip the Timekeeping Hourglass and begin chanting the temporal binding incantations. This will attune the gemstone to the ethereal realm and grant it its time-sensitive properties.
    • Move to the Alchemical Set and combine the remaining Elemental Essence of Fire and Water. Add this elemental mixture to the Etherweave Fabric.
    • Use the Loom of Reality Weaving to weave the enchanted Etherweave Fabric into a carrying pouch for the sigil. As you weave, chant the incantations for spatial connectivity to ensure the sigil will be secure and its energies contained.
    • Take the Silver Chain and loop it through a small hole at the top of the bronze disk. This serves as a means to carry the sigil or attach it to gear.
    • Finally, perform a Rite of Activation to connect the sigil to the realm from which minions will be summoned. This involves placing the finished sigil at the center of a ritual circle and invoking the specific entities you wish to make a pact with for the summoning. This is the most crucial step and requires the highest level of arcane skill.
    • Once the Rite of Activation is complete, the “Minion Sigil 42” is ready for use. Store it in the enchanted pouch when not in use to maintain its magical integrity.

This crafting recipe demands various skills in arcane arts, alchemy, and even smithing, reflecting the multifaceted nature of the item. It’s crucial to follow each step precisely to ensure the “Minion Sigil 42” functions as intended.

Chronicle of Thulean
Creator of Minion Sigil 42

Long, long seasons ago, Thulean, wise sage and artificer of many mystical arts, endeavored to forge item of grand potential. Mages speak, murmuring stories of realms beyond veil, brimming with creatures unimaginable. Thulean wished not just to reach out, but to invite them, even for little while, into world of Saṃsāra.

Thulean held knowledge deep and wide. He gathered materials from edge of lands to lands beneath, where gods dare not look. Jewel that held light but also shadow, metal born of earth’s belly yet kissed by sky fire, essences drawn from very elements that dance in nature’s eternal ballet.

But Thulean had obstacle. Runes and glyphs, complex and intricate, were not fitting easily onto bronze disk. The ink would rebel, rejecting the surface as water refuses to mix with oil. After many tries and days, Thulean, however, found scroll of transcription, holding onto secrets of many wise ages ago. With quill in hand, he transferred ancient patterns onto stubborn disk, at last!

Then was turn of gemstone, the eye of creation, to be joined with disk. It was to be its heart, a beating core that connected worlds far and near. But gemstone was shy and rejected unity with disk. Thulean sat with many thoughts, then remembered Essence of Time. Dropping liquid onto gemstone, suddenly stone and disk accepted each other as long-lost kin reunited.

Rite of Activation most difficult. Thulean drew circle of great power, summoning beings beyond comprehension. Spirits roared, heavens quivered, but rite was successful. Thulean’s creation became known as “Minion Sigil 42,” holding inside it power and responsibility vast.

Thulean lived many years, wise and revered, but seldom used sigil. Always cautious, for knew that opening doors to realms unknown also means opening doors for unknown to enter. In hands of imprudent, sigil was not tool, but weapon of unforeseeable danger.

Thulean passed to ages, leaving sigil and its secret craftings behind. But whispers traveled, many aimed to imitate, but none grasped depth of caution Thulean carried. Until today, tale of Thulean and Minion Sigil 42 is warning and wonder, echoing through corridors of time.

Moral of the Story: With great power comes great responsibility, and the cautious reach of wisdom extends farther than the impatient grasp of folly.
