Advantages and Disadvantages

Only one level of advantage or disadvantage is allowed for a dice roll. If a second advantage or disadvantage is obtained it is not added or doubled, instead the second advantage or disadvantage is ignored. If an advantage or disadvantage is already in play and the opposite has also been obtained this means it just becomes a normal dice roll.

Alternatively, the stacking mechanism may be used. The GM and players need to decide this in session zero:

  • In the stacking mechanism a d20 die is added to the roll each time advantage or disadvantage comes into play. Only the one d20 that meets the advantage or disadvantage requirements is used.
    • Advantage uses the highest number on the d20 dice.
    • Disadvantage uses the lowest number on the d20 dice.
