Original Life Forms: Elephant (Mammalia), Octopus (Cephalopoda), Bat (Chiroptera), and Lizard (Reptilia)
Appearance: Glidetusk is a large, hybrid creature with the head and body of an elephant, the tentacles of an octopus in place of its trunk, the wings of a bat, and the scales and tail of a lizard. It has a thick hide with mottled patterns of brown and green, and its wings are membranous and leathery. Its tentacles are long and flexible, with suckers along their length, and its tail is thick and muscular.
Size: Glidetusk is a massive creature, standing over 12 feet tall at the shoulder and measuring nearly 20 feet in length from nose to tail. Its wingspan is also impressive, spanning over 30 feet when fully extended.
Behavior: Glidetusk is a solitary creature, preferring to live in remote areas away from human settlements. It is a primarily herbivorous creature, using its tentacles to reach and pull down high branches to feed on leaves and fruit. However, it is also capable of hunting small animals with its tentacles and sharp tusks.
Emotions: Glidetusk is a fiercely independent creature, and is known for its stubbornness and aggression when provoked. However, it is also highly intelligent and has been observed using its tentacles to communicate with other members of its species.
Environment: Glidetusk is found in a variety of habitats, including forests, savannas, and swamps. It prefers areas with dense vegetation and plenty of hiding places, where it can use its tentacles and wings to maneuver and evade predators.
Armor:
- Scaled Hide: Glidetusk’s thick hide is covered in large, interlocking scales that provide excellent protection against physical attacks. However, the scales are also iridescent, shimmering in a rainbow of colors that can be distracting to opponents.
- Tentacle Shield: Glidetusk has fashioned a shield from several of its own tentacles, braided together and hardened with resin. The shield is lightweight and flexible, but also incredibly strong, able to absorb the impact of even the heaviest blows. However, the sight of a creature wielding its own dismembered tentacles as a weapon can be unsettling to some.
- Wing Cloak: Glidetusk has woven together several of its own wings into a cloak that provides additional protection from ranged attacks. The cloak is also infused with a special gland secretion that allows it to create a cloud of smoke to obscure Glidetusk’s movements when fleeing or setting up ambushes.
- Tusk Helm: Glidetusk has fashioned a helmet from one of its own tusks, sharpened to a razor’s edge. The helmet covers the creature’s head and face, providing excellent protection from head-on attacks. However, the tusks are also covered in a venomous secretion that can be dangerous to handle.
- Coral Spines: Glidetusk has embedded several large pieces of coral into its hide, which provide additional protection against attacks while also granting it resistance to acidic attacks. However, the coral spines are brittle and can shatter on impact, leaving sharp fragments embedded in Glidetusk’s flesh.
Weapons:
- Tentacle Whip: Glidetusk has fashioned a long, flexible whip from several of its own tentacles. The whip can be used to strike opponents at a distance or to entangle and trip them. However, the whip is also highly sensitive and can be painful for Glidetusk to use.
- Tusk Halberd: Glidetusk has crafted a halberd from one of its own tusks, sharpened to a fine point and mounted on a long, wooden pole. The halberd can be used for both thrusting and swinging attacks, and its weight and heft make it difficult for opponents to block. However, the tusks are also covered in a venomous secretion that can be dangerous to handle.
Tools:
- Bioluminescent Lure: Glidetusk carries a small, spherical object that emits a soft, blue glow. The object is filled with a sticky, viscous substance that smells strongly of fish, attracting any nearby creatures that might mistake it for prey. The lure can be used to distract or draw out opponents, giving Glidetusk an opportunity to strike or escape.
- Venom Extraction Kit: Glidetusk carries a small kit filled with various tools and chemicals designed to extract venom from its tusks and other venomous creatures. The kit includes a specialized needle, a small suction pump, and several vials of antivenom. The kit can be used to safely extract venom for use in crafting poisons or to treat venomous wounds.
- Wing Harness: Glidetusk has fashioned a harness from several of its own wings, reinforced with leather straps and metal buckles. The harness can be worn like a backpack and provides additional support and lift when Glidetusk is flying. The harness can also be used to transport small objects or creatures, allowing Glidetusk to carry valuable loot or prisoners.
