There are two different decks of cards of chance. The red deck is drawn from when a 1 is rolled on a die and the attack fails. These “Failure” cards are dangerous and are negative in nature for you and your allies. The green deck is drawn from when the highest number for the die in question is rolled and the attack hits. These “Crit” cards are positive in nature and can be used by the character in helpful ways. Always draw from the top of the deck then follow the instructions on the card(s). If multiple cards are drawn all must be played and the player may choose the order in which they are enacted. Return each card to the bottom of the deck of its color at the end of your turn as soon as its effect has been noted for completion.
See Roll to Hit for more information.
NPCs do not draw cards, only players.
Cards of Chance are normally introduced to players after the first player in the party has ascended to tier two.
