What is GearAscendancy.com?

• It is a tabletop role-playing game about the open fantasy world of Saṃsāra, which is a high magic setting, that resembles a mix of the Middle-Ages through the beginning of the Industrial Age, where almost all the population uses magic in their daily life.
• A tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) is a form of role-playing game (RPG) where participants describe their characters’ actions through speech rather than actions on a digital screen. Players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting and collaboratively create narratives. The outcomes of their characters’ actions are often determined by rules and guidelines, commonly involving dice rolls. These games typically involve a GM (called a Guide Manager in our case) who facilitates the story, adjudicates the rules, and narrates the world and its events.
• On Saṃsāra, magic requires a conduit which is used as a focus for the power of thought to flow through. This is the “Gear” that is worn and used to ascend through “tiers” which are levels of play.
